Amentum is seeking Mid Level Systems Engineer to join our team. The role requires a strong understanding of systems engineering principles, modeling and simulation methodologies, and relevant industry standards. 

You will be part of our growing systems, information technology & software engineering team and contribute to our diverse skillsets across multiple contracts in support of our Centers of Excellence. We are looking for individuals to join our team atmosphere that are eager to make a difference by solving complex Digital Engineering challenges. Successful candidates must possess excellent communication skills and interact directly with customers and engineering personnel.

Job duties include:

  • Apply systems engineering principles to investigate, analyze, plan, design, develop, implement, test, and evaluate multi-domain awareness systems in remote international locations, subjected to extreme environmental conditions for continued improvement and maximum effectiveness in real world applications. 

  • Review and prepare system engineering and technical analyses, reports, change proposals, and other technical documentation. 

  • Apply system engineering experience to perform functions such as system integration, configuration management, quality assurance testing, or acquisition and resource management. 

  • Analyze, design, develop, implement, test or evaluate automated data processing software related to engineering or functional requirements of multi-domain awareness systems, associated support systems, or management information systems.

  • May act as team leader or supervisor developing engineering procedures and controls, managing project efforts, and taking the lead in problem resolution.

  • Interfaces with system or program contractors, vendors, and government representatives regarding the technical aspects of both the software and hardware components of the entire system.

Minium Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering, scientific, or technical discipline from an accredited college or university 

  • Five (5) years professional technical experience

  • Three (3) years specialized experience performing systems requirements management, systems engineering design, utilizing systems engineering software tools and performing systems engineering design, integration engineering, test and evaluation engineering activities.  

  • Requires a DoD 8570.01-M or successor Information Assurance Technical (IAT) Level II certification.

  • Must have an Active Top Secret/SCI US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to maintain a Top Secret/SCI Clearance

  • Candidates must maintain a valid Real ID driver’s license required for access to customer site and have access to reliable transportation (rideshare options such as Uber, Lyft etc. are not permitted) as this position requires occasional travel between local worksites during the week.
