About the Opportunity

  • In partnership with the AWE Jacobs is working to deliver the Non-Nuclear Engineering Partnership (NNEP) which is a programme of works involving all aspects of the AWE’s built environment portfolio outside of the critical nuclear facilities AWE develops, owns and maintains.

  • To ensure a successful outcome for NNEP, we are actively recruiting a Reporting and Performance Manager responsible for managing and maintaining adequate reporting and performance management mechanisms to support project and programme delivery and enable senior management in effective decision-making.

  • The Performance and Reporting Manager will report to the Head of PMO. With a sound understanding of the bigger picture of the programme, you will support the Head of PMO by working across the NNEP PMO to gather data, conduct analysis and provide insights and recommendations on performance. You will also manage the Business Assurance Manager.

  • This is a crucial role that requires a strong understanding of program management principles, data analysis, governance and reporting techniques to support decision-making. 

  • This role is one of management, technical competence and responsibility in satisfying the requirements of our client, our internal leadership, our business leadership and for the programme to become an exemplar of best practice in the PMO space.

  • Key Tasks: (accountabilities)

  • Manage, develop and ensure the delivery of contractual reporting requirements across NNEP.

  • Ensure a consistent approach to aggregating and reporting project and programme data and that everyone in the organisation makes decisions based on the same information – a single source of truth.

  • Define and own an NNEP Reporting structure and calendar, including establishing information workflows, acting as the key point of contact for all reporting/ performance queries for NNEP

  • Develop and implement a clear performance management framework to track and manage the programme against established KPIs.

  • Ensure that processes, systems and people work optimally to provide efficient, relevant and insightful reporting so that the client, the leadership and decision-makers have timely, accurate, sufficient and insightful information to enable effective decision-making.

  • Develop and maintain reporting templates and bespoke dashboards for NNEP governance boards using modern tools and techniques, supporting leadership during the process and ensuring reports and information provided is fit for purpose for the different discussion forums.

  • Collaborate across cross-functional teams to gather inputs, conduct data analysis, and identify performance gaps and improvement opportunities, leading the preparation of Performance Improvement Plans, where needed.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across NNEP and the client.

  • Have an agile mindset, adapting to the needs of the PMO and wider NNEP programme requirements.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business, Finance, Project Management or Data Science.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in programme management, data analysis, or reporting roles.

  • Experience designing processes and system solutions to support delivering data analytics and reporting; proficient in using a range of cloud-based analytics tools and technologies.

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to effectively present data and insights to stakeholders at all levels.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment and build effective working relationships.

  • Professional certifications related to programme management, data analysis, or reporting. PRINCE2 Practitioner or similar project management demonstrable understanding.
