ITER is a unique, first of a kind project that aims to demonstrate the technical and scientific feasibility of fusion energy. Amentum one of three partners making up the Consortium MOMENTUM (construction management-as- agent contractor) is project managing the construction and assembly of more than one million components in world’s largest fusion reactor. As construction management-as-agent contractor, MOMENTUM is managing the construction and assembly of the first full-scale test reactor to include balance of plant and the Tokomak itself. Amentum is recruiting an established (from 7 years) Off-site Supervisor (F/H) to work on the ITER Project near Aix-en-Provence, France.

Key duties and responsibilities:

• Prefabrication monitoring and workshop interface management; workshop visits ( 1 visit / workshop / quarter), for all the concerned workshops identified, currently 7 workshops for the 3 TCC Contracts;
• Preparing QC supervision plan and inspection check-lists;
• Participation in PIM (Pre-Inspection Meetings);
• Reviewing construction Contractor’s quality control related manufacturing and installation; procedures and relevant inspection and test plans (MIP/ITP) prior to the workshop visit;
• Performing inspections of mechanical, piping and pressure vessel prefabrication;
• Evaluation of the validity and acceptability of inspection and test results;
• Generating prefabrication and inspection monitoring reports after each visit;
• Reviewing final ITP including associated manufacturing and installation documentation;
• Reviewing non-conforming descriptions & action plan and assessing remedial and corrective actions;
• Identifying and managing prefabrication risk through mitigation strategies to be instructed to the contractors;
• Reporting piping and welding related quality issues;
• Maintain a positive relationship between the works contractors and IO;
• Assess physical progress;
• Checking that the prefabrication teams are sufficiently resourced according to the schedule and workload;
• Review of Quality Control procedures & records (MIP, Manufacturing dossier, NC,...)
