Amentum is seeking a highly qualified Operations and Global Force Management (GFM) Analyst to support the U.S. Pacific Fleet (PACFLT) N33 Directorate at Camp H.M. Smith, Hawaii. This role provides real-time operational support, research, analysis, and assessments to help manage force capabilities across the Indo-Pacific region.

The ideal candidate thrives in a high-tempo, mission-driven environment, understands how to operate across complex joint and component command structures, and brings direct Navy experience in Global Force Management, deployment planning, and operational requirements. A strong background in Joint operations is also essential.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Lead planning, staffing, and coordination with the Joint Staff on the Global Force Management Implementation Guidance (GFMIG) and Global Force Management Allocation Plan (GFMAP).
  • Analyze Navy force capabilities and provide recommendations on force deployment, posture, and allocation across the region.
  • Coordinate deployment orders in support of OPLANs, Flexible Deterrent Options (FDOs), and the Theater Campaign Plan (TCP).
  • Provide operational input on GFM issues to PACFLT and other Component Commands.
  • Monitor and support deployments of PACFLT-assigned forces throughout the INDOPACOM Area of Responsibility (AOR).
  • Draft and manage Requests for Forces (RFFs), Operations Orders (OPORDs), Deployment Orders (DEPORDs), Task Orders, and Executive Orders.
  • Liaise with Joint Staff Action Officers to communicate PACFLT force requirements.
  • Brief senior Navy leadership and Flag/General Officers on operational force issues.
  • Assist in resolving force management problems and improving operational processes.
  • Approximately 20% travel possible, both to Mainland U.S. and Allied and Partner nations, in support of conferences, planning sessions, and exercises.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field (Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Military Science, etc.) or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a logistics, readiness, or training support role within the Department of Defense (DoD).
  • Demonstrated experience with military planning processes (e.g., MDMP, JPP).
  • Familiarity with Joint Manning Documents (JMD) and personnel allocation procedures.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills to address operational challenges.
  • Ability to work independently and in collaboration with Navy leadership and teams.
  • Must have an active Secret clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3 years working within the INDOPACOM AOR.
  • 2+ years of experience on a military staff (PACFLT, Service HQ, Combatant Command, OSD, or Joint Staff).
  • Familiar with PACFLT N-code structure, especially N3/N5/N33 processes.
  • Master’s degree or graduation from a military command and staff college.
  • Completion of Joint Professional Military Education (JPME).

Compensation & Benefits

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $145K - $160K (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
