The Operations Manager is responsible for managing activities and personnel to provide operational support for contract performance, business development, and mobilization/transition planning and execution.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage tasks and team to provide operational support, coordinate resources, maintain schedules within cost requirements, and ensure performance standards are met or exceeded for operational readiness.

  • Advise senior management on program-wide operations and policy oversight for effective decision-making regarding operations performance, business development strategies, issues, and optimal approaches to accomplish company and customer objectives.

  • Develop plans with all functional areas, provide all required reports, and oversee work control, planning, and overall mission support.

  • Implement strategic plans for operations to support contract requirements based on industry best practices; May include providing analysis and support for business development.

  • Ensure compliance with customer specifications, quality standards, and government regulations.

  • Oversee maintenance, repair, and operation of all assigned systems and supporting infrastructure if assigned.

  • Implement performance metrics, conduct trend analysis, prepare reports, and brief leadership on operational results.

  • Track project compliance with operations policies and procedures, identify issues, and recommend solutions

  • Provide management guidance and control for efficient utilization of assigned personnel, employee performance, morale, and welfare

  • Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Eight (8) years of experience in an operations management environment with at least two (2) years in a supervisory role

  • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources

  • Ability to partner with others, provide outstanding customer service, maintain quality standards and customer satisfaction

  • Detail-oriented with ability to handle multiple tasks independently

  • Excellent communication, leadership, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software

  • Additional knowledge/skills may be required and will be listed separately

EDUCATION

High School Diploma or equivalent

WORKING AND LIVING CONDITIONS

This position may be located in an environment with harsh and dangerous working and living conditions. Employees must be willing and able to perform regular job requirements in this environment. Employees must be willing and able to perform physical activities including, but not limited to, heavy lifting and moving of items, parts, assemblies, and equipment up to the safety regulation maximum; climbing in and out of equipment; crawling; and working outdoors. This includes being able to lift and carry 40 pounds of personal protective equipment for extended periods of time and being capable of running and ‘duck & cover’ during emergencies without putting oneself or others at risk.
