Orbital Debris Project Radar Intern to join the team !

This is a temporary role not to exceed 13 weeks.
The
Orbital Debris Project Radar Intern will:
- Organize orbital debris radar data from multiple sensors
- Use radar data processing software to standardize data formats for analysis
- Analyze historical data for long term trends
- Support migration of current processing software to Gitlab Server
- Support Data format and software pipeline improvements
- Other tasks as assigned by Manager and Radar Task Lead
Requisition Qualifications: - Currently enrolled at an accredited university.
- Completed at least 45 credit hours.
- Minimum of 2.8 GPA.
- Pursuit of degree in Astronomy, Physics, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field of study
- Oral presentation and analysis reporting skills
- Data analysis/visualization skills
Requisition Preferences: - Experience with Python, MATLAB, or similar
- Experience with C/C++ or similar
- Experience with software development process
- Experience using Git/GitLab/GitHub
- Experience with HDF/NetCDF data formats
- Radar Signal Processing and measurements data

Essential FunctionsWork EnvironmentGenerally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on task.
Physical RequirementsWork may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of time). May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of time).
Equipment and MachinesStandard office equipment (PC, telephone, printer, etc.).
AttendanceRegular attendance in accordance with established work schedule is critical. Ability to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements.
