Amentum is seeking a Physical Security Training/Standardization Manager for Las Vegas, NV.

Primary Function

The Physical Security Training/Standardization Manager is a critical leadership role responsible for the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of our comprehensive physical security training and standardization program. This role ensures our security personnel are highly trained, proficient, and compliant with all relevant standards and regulations, ultimately contributing to the safety and security of our operations and ensuring compliance with Performance Work Statement (PWS). The Physical Security Training/Standardization Manager will lead and mentor a team of training professionals, manage resources effectively, and actively support and uphold the Company’s stated vision, mission, and values as well as Code of Conduct.

Essential Functions / Responsibilities:

Leadership, Personnel Management & Compliance:

  • Direct, lead, mentor, and develop a team of physical security training/standardization/technology professionals, fostering a culture of professionalism, continuous improvement, and adherence to the highest ethical standard.
  • Ensure all team members are properly trained, equipped, and prepared to perform their duties effectively.
  • Determine work priorities, schedule assignments, and oversee the daily training/standardization program to ensure timely and successful mission accomplishment.
  • Promote growth by performing the duties of a training/standardization evaluator as required.
  • Manage and oversee the Physical Security Training and Standardization Program and ensure compliance at all operational locations, in cooperation with security and operational site managers.
  • Ensure strict compliance with all contractual requirements, company policies, procedures, standards, and applicable Air Force regulations (i.e., AFI 31-117, AFI 36-2646).
  • Direct and approve annual training/standardization program plan(s).
  • Direct continuous improvement of training/standardization program(s).
  • Evaluate staff competency in the delivery and execution of program requirements.
  • Seek innovative delivery methods (Computer Based Training) with customer approval.
  • Direct effective resource management and staff in execution of deliverables.
  • Provide timely and accurate notification and reporting of all failures/mishaps to senior leadership.

Documentation & Quality Assurance:

  • Develop, prepare, and revise essential security documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Operating Instructions (OIs), Quick Reaction Checklist (QRCs), and Training Plans related to training and standardization.
  • Maintain accurate and timely record management systems pertaining to all support operations.
  • Preparing and presenting training program progress reports as required.
  • Perform qualitative reviews and corrections of all training reports/incidents and forms prior to submission to ensure accuracy and completion.

Communication & Employee Engagement:

  • Maintain consistent and effective communication with subordinate personnel, identifying and resolving operational issues, and ensuring overall effectiveness and customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with physical security and site managers on a routine basis.
  • Lead by example and mentor staff to exceed customer expectations.

Additional Duties:

  • Perform all other position-related duties as assigned or requested.

Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

  • Dedicated Training/Standardization Manager with at least 10 years of experience managing the physical security training and standardization program requirements, facilities, and geographically separated security forces.
  • Demonstrated expertise in the planning, evaluation, analysis, and implementation of multiple security programs, including but not limited to physical security, resource protection, information security, personnel protection, emergency response, Use of Force, and security force management.
  • Demonstrated expertise in the deployment, use and maintenance of Physical Security Technology.
  • Must be eligible for TS Security Clearance; must be a U.S. Citizen to obtain clearance.
  • Must be knowledgeable of computers and software.
  • Must have a valid United States driver's license.
  • Must be fluent in speaking and writing, using English language.
  • Very strong logical and analytical problem-solving skills. Strong written and oral presentation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal communication and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to work both collectively and autonomously.
  • Ability to work under pressure and tight timelines.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of academic/technical/military training.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in the management of Security Forces Training and Standardization program in U.S. Air Force or equivalent environment preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience in the use and maintenance of Physical Security Technology.
  • Exceptional verbal & written communication skills.
  • Displayed, demonstrated, or proven ability to deliver impactful presentations and briefings to diverse audiences.
  • Superior organizational and time management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to excel independently and as part of a management team.
  • Strong initiative and proactive approach.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities.

Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:

  • Must be able to meet the physical requirements dictated by project requirements.
  • Ability to work in harsh conditions outdoors and/or in extreme temperatures.
  • Must be able to work outside a normal schedule, when needs arise.
  • Assigned duty location and work schedule may vary based on customer and business needs.
  • Must comply with Company specified dress code and uniform guidelines.
