We have an exciting opportunity for a temporary
Process Automation Engineer to join the team with Intuitive Machines, a teammate company.
*This is a temporary position not to exceed 26 weeks*
The
Process Automation Engineer will:
- Review existing processes used by Crew and Thermal Systems Division Systems Test Branch and identify opportunities for automation
- Update software so as to improve efficiencies
- Create and upgrade HMI screens to enhance user experience
- Use AIML tools and methodologies for scaling document control, configuration control and for systems identification
- Perform system checkouts, procurements, testing/maintenance activities and documentation
- Perform other duties as required.
Requisition Qualifications:
- Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in Engineering with experience in the field or in a related area.
- Computer programming experience
- Experience with SQL database
- Understanding of electrical drawings and procedures for instrumentation systems.
- Experience with data acquisition systems and their application.
- Proficiency using computers.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
Requisition Preferences:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or IT from an accredited university
- Familiarity with Johnson Space Center (JSC) organizations, processes, and procedures.
- Knowledge of SCADA systems (eg ICONICS, Ignition), SQL Server
- Experience with Allen Bradley PLCs and programming software

Essential Functions Work Environment Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on task.
Physical Requirements Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of time). May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of time).
Equipment and Machines Standard office equipment (PC, telephone, printer, etc.).
Attendance Regular attendance in accordance with established work schedule is critical. Ability to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements.
