Amentum is seeking a self-motivated, team-oriented individual to fill the role of Program Management Support Specialist (PMSS) in support of multiple contracts for our Systems Engineering and Sustainment (SES) Business Area in Norfolk, VA.

You bring your comprehensive program knowledge and subject matter expertise to this role, providing program advisory support that includes specific analysis addressing discrete technical and programmatic elements. This knowledge and expertise will be used to prepare routine and non-routine correspondence and documentation, program presentations and briefings, and program management reports.

Essential responsibilities:

  • Interface with internal functional teams and external customers for planning, prioritization, and issue resolution of overall activities in the support and achievement of customer goals

  • Interact with and advise customers by applying specific program knowledge and/or subject matter expertise in the execution of routine and non-routine tasks

  • Interact with and provide technical assessments to customers through the application of specific program knowledge and subject matter expertise in the execution of program management tasks

  • Analyze requirements, interface with other professionals to generate program documentation such as plans, schedules, briefings, reports, correspondence, contracts/contract modifications, technical instructions/procedures, and/or related material

  • Working with Program Managers, to analyze and track project budgets, schedules, and deliverables, conduct research into specific areas, prepare findings and report findings to the customer

  • Create and maintain master files/schedules related to program history, execution, and status for the life of the program (inception to disposal)

  • Review, analyze, provide comments, and provide assessments of technical and non-technical program reports; research specific area and prepare findings

  • Interface with internal and external principal program participants for planning and prioritization and resolution of overall activities to support customer goals

  • General office-related functions such as answering phone calls, emails, and greeting visitors; collecting and distributing mail, receiving packages, and filing

Required experience:

  • Associate's degree in a Business or STEM discipline

  • At least 3 years’ experience in a corporate office environment

  • Familiarity with basic accounting and procurement activities

  • Superb written communication skills; working knowledge of word-processing and integrated software applications; organizational skills and ability to perform detail-oriented work

  • Position may require up to 10% travel

  • Work is 100% on-site at the Amentum Services office

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.

Preferred

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft 365 suite of applications
