Amentum is seeking a Project Manager to join our team of passionate individuals in Chantilly, VA. In this role you will support challenging, mission-critical projects that make a direct impact on the Nation’s security and intelligence mission.

Your Impact:

We will work to modernize the approaches for leased circuits, local services, telephony and vendor maintenance agreements, which will balance risk mitigation with technology advancement. This program will ensure a future-ready state of communication that will enhance reliability and improve quality of service to end users.

Responsibilities:

  • Serves as the Project Manager (PM) for operational and maintenance requirements that range from small to large efforts. These efforts are generally quick turnaround requests. The PM is responsible for validating and procuring the equipment along with overseeing the delivery and implementation of the customer’s request. The PM is also responsible for ensuring that customer has received what was required and the related assets are accounted for. Throughout the management process, the PM works closely with their Program Manager (PM) to address any issues or concerns that may arise that would impede customer satisfaction. The PM is accountable for meeting contractual performance criteria and due dates during service delivery, and successful overall project completion. Ensuring that associated contractor project activities are completed within defined project lifecycle.
  • Consulting and coordinating with the appropriate Manager for problem resolution, task scheduling, new resource requirements, and task clarification.
  • Consulting with users, management, and technicians to assess computing needs and system requirements.
  • Planning and coordinating activities such as installation and upgrading of hardware and software.


Requirements:

  • Advanced knowledge of the customer and the inner workings of the organization are critical to this position.
  • Must be willing to travel as needed.
  • Ability to plan and coordinate activities such as installation and upgrading of hardware and software, programming and systems design, development of computer networks, and implementation of Internet and intranet sites.
  • Proficiency in the use of MS Office product suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, SharePoint)
  • Must pay attention to detail and remain alert at all times.
  • Prior knowledge with Cat5, Cat6, Fiber, Network Switches, and patch panels, voice technologies, Microsoft Project, ESMT


Clearance Required:

  • TS/SCI w FSP


Minimum Education:

  • Bachelors in computer or information technology


Minimum Years of Experience:

  • 8 years


Preferred:

  • Scrum Master Certification and/or PMP
