This role will serve as a Project Manager assigned to the Radiation Exposure Compensation Act (RECA) program of the DOJ Civil Division. Works under the direction of a Lead Project Manager, performing the following duties:

  • Oversee all aspects of Claim Review and Intake team management.
  • Lead efforts to recruit, retain, and develop high performing staff.
  • Organize and maintain special project assignments.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the government customer to address management of the staff, details of the assignment,
  • reporting of metrics, and as an escalation point for customer concerns.
  • Create, maintain, update, and improve various internal charts and graphs.
  • Oversee the coordination of Project Supervisors to direct the Claims Review and Intake teams.
  • Create, format, and refine Standard Operating Procedures based on changing needs of teams.
  • Organize and maintain example work product for various team discussions/meetings/trainings.
  • Create and oversee the updating of internal and external guidance and policy documents.
  • Coach and develop staff members to ensure optimum quality of work product.

 Required Qualifications

  • At least four years of progressively more responsible supervisory and management experience on major litigation support projects, including proven capabilities and communication skills to successfully interact with clients and attorneys.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage numerous complex and time-critical litigation support activities simultaneously, including technical/data processing and eDiscovery support activities.
  • Experience with simultaneously managing multiple small teams each with unique workflows and focus.
  • Requires expert knowledge of litigation support, outstanding written and oral communication skills, and excellent management skills.
  • Must be able to anticipate litigation support and claims processing needs, and develop and execute detailed plans for addressing those needs.
  • Experience with claims intake and review processes, to include familiarity with scanning/ingestion, categorization, triage, queue management, performance evaluation, and progress output reporting.
  • Experience in creating and enforcing document review and quality control standards.
  • Requires knowledge of the Government's data processing environment in which the work is to be performed, including office automation networks, PC-based databases and other applications, and internet and server-based databases and other applications
  • Familiarity with ESI tools and knowledge of eDiscovery.
  • Experience in claim management or processing environments, particularly having worked with a claim management system.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain MRPT facility credentials/authorization. Note: US Citizenship is required for MRPT facility credentials/authorization at this work location.

Preferred

  • Experience in government programs preferred.
  • Highly skilled in producing a variety of reports (type, format, etc.) that reflect an understanding of the “audience”/users of the reports.
  • Highly collaborative nature and comfortable coordinating across teams and with various managers, supervisors, and team members.
  • Passionate about attention to detail, deadlines, and work quality.
  • Highly organized, able to multi-task, prioritizes tasks, and consistently and accurately performs detailed work under pressure.
  • Proactively identifies issues that impact claim review coordination and proposes alternate solutions to address issues.
  • Demonstrated success overseeing the work of others, mentoring staff, and providing feedback and corrective direction when needed.
  • Law degree, technical certification, or other pertinent graduate degree preferred.

Compensation

The annual starting salary/ hourly rate for this position is between $110,000 annually. Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
