Amentum is looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our radiation test engineering group supporting our key Government customer. This exciting opportunity will support multiple programs across the Department of Defense (DoD) with system parts, planning, and testing. The Electrical Engineer will work alongside project leads to ensure program success, and mentor junior engineers.  
 
As a Radiation Test Electrical Engineer, daily duties may include:

  • Develop component tests for validation to component specifications.
  • Collaborate with environmental and radiation test teams to complete component characterization and testing.
  • Work with Configuration Management and Quality teams to manage releases and revisions of test fixtures, software, and test procedures.
  • Train engineers and operators to correctly perform testing of components.
  • Review test data and reports prior to being provided to customers.
  • Maintain existing fixtures, software, and test procedures.
  • Migrate tests to new equipment and systems, as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Ability to investigate, troubleshoot, and design solutions to problems in operational hardware and software. Proven communications and analytical skills through work experience.
  • Experience with electronic component testing and characterization.
  • Experience with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multi-meters, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, and impedance analyzers.
  • Knowledge and experience with MIL-STD requirements.
  • Experience with troubleshooting and debug of electronic test circuits.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance. (Note: US citizenship required to obtain a secret clearance)


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with radiation testing 
  • Experience with DoD lab environment work
