Our Nuclear Projects group is a Tier 1 service provider to the U.S. Department of Energy, we deliver safe and innovative solutions at complex nuclear cleanup and production sites. Our services include program management, decommissioning, environmental remediation, waste and nuclear material management, nuclear operations, consulting, and engineering, and construction. We are looking to add a Senior Construction Risk Analyst to our growing team.
The Senior Risk Analyst will be responsible for helping to identify, assess, and track project risks supporting the Spent Fuel Handling Project at the Naval Reactors Facility of Idaho National Lab. This job will support strategic decision-making on cost, schedule, and delivery, with opportunities to grow your technical expertise in risk analysis, project controls, and alternative delivery methods. This position reports to the Project Controls Manager. works with Operations and Project leadership including the Project Manager, Project Controls Manager, Construction Manager, and Engineering Manager as required to develop and maintain the construction project risk program. The Risk Analyst must be experienced in the creation, development, maintenance and presentation of project risk and opportunity throughout a project’s entire life cycle.

THIS IS NOT AN IT/FINANCE/INSURANCE RISK ROLE - THIS IS A ROLE REQUIRING CONSTRUCTION PROJECT MANAGEMENT RISK MANAGEMENT EXPERIENCE. * Primary Duties:
- Support risk identification and assessment efforts by documenting, organizing, and tracking potential risks
- Help prepare, develop and maintain the program risk register and mitigation plans
- Analyze project data to support qualitative and quantitative risk analysis
- Help prepare risk summary reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders
- Produce risk reports as required, in a timely manner, to support the effective communication of threat & opportunity status
- Conduct risk reviews at regular intervals, identify and analyze, determine response plans, ensure that project and program risk profiles are being monitored and reported
- Establish integration of the risk management function within the program and project controls team, with direct touch points to cost and schedule management, change control and reporting
- Prepare, track, and monitor lessons learned throughout the life cycle of the project
Qualifications: - A degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Controls, or a related field
- 1-5 years of experience in risk analysis, project controls, or infrastructure project support
- Detailed knowledge of construction, principles of construction management and project controls
- Familiarity with tools like Excel, risk registers, and schedule/cost tracking systems (e.g., Primavera P6)
- AACE Project Risk Management Professional (PRMP), PMI Project Risk Management Professional (PMI-RMP), or related risk management certification strongly preferred
Preferred qualifications: Evidence of demonstrated experience in multiple of the following areas of practice:
- Cost and/or schedule risk analysis
- Facilitating and conducting project risk workshops
- Formulating risk mitigation strategies
- Developing project risk management plans
- Performing cost and schedule risk analyses in accordance with US Government Accountability Office (GAO) best practices
- This position will be located on-site at the SFHP at the NRF jobsite
Essential Functions:
Intermittent sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, and lifting. Lifting requirements limited to 20 lbs. in the form of supplies, drawings, etc. Longest distance carried of 50 feet. Hand manipulation is required for simple grasping, pushing and pulling, and fine manipulation. Right and/or left hands utilized. Occasional need to reach and/or work above the shoulder, for supplies, as well as below the shoulder for same. No foot controls necessary. Must be alert to equipment in the field, there will be occasional travel, will work near construction job site equipment when in the field, occasional need to work near hazardous equipment and machinery, occasional need to walk on uneven ground, exposure to dust, gas or fumes, exposure to noise, extremes in temperature or humidity, and potential work at heights.
Other Essential Functions:
U.S. Citizenship required. Valid driver's license is required. Must be able to work in a team atmosphere. Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or others. Must take and pass a pre-employment drug, background check and site security badge screening.
