Amentum is seeking a Senior Counterintelligence Officer to support our U.S. Department of Energy and Counterintelligence (DOE-IN) contract. Positions will be based in Washington, D.C. With options of other locations such as West Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Newport News, VA.

Responsibilities: Serves as Senior Counterintelligence Officer (SCIO), specific duties and functions include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Manage CI/Counter Terrorism (CT) investigations across the DOE complex.

  • Works closely with the FBI and the USIC to assist in any ongoing espionage, terrorism, or related operations and investigations at responsible facilities.

  • Serve as liaison and interface with DOE facility management and local law enforcement agencies surrounding the assigned facility.

  • Provides CI/CT defensive briefings and debriefings to Departmental personnel in foreign intelligence and terrorist activities/threats.

Requirements

  • Must possess a current Department of Energy Q security clearance and Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI)

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college. An advanced Degree is desirable.

  • Minimum of fifteen (15) years of experience as a Counterintelligence Officer or agent conducting typical CI program activities as a primary case agent in counterintelligence case management at DOE, the FBI or DOD and must have advanced interviewing and elicitation techniques.

  • Must have excellent oral and written communication skills, conflict resolution techniques, and proven ability to perform under pressure to meet tight deadlines.

  • Must have functional computer literacy, and be proficient in common computer and network applications.
