Amentum is now hiring for Senior Modeling and Simulation Specialist in support of the Field, Lab and Air Integration / Experimentation / Modeling and Risk Reduction (FLAIR) office at Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD and other locations. This project will provide the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (DEVCOM), Command, Control, Computers, Communications, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Research (C5ISR) Center services to include programmatic/business management services, engineering support services, field engineering, laboratory, logistics, and acquisition / administrative support services to augment FLAIR core Government personnel and turn-key solutions to support the missions of FLAIR and its associated Managers and customers. This support will be conducted in close coordination with Government project leads within FLAIR.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop, confirm, and validate computer simulation models used to assist in making various managerial and technical decisions.

  • Recommend ways to optimize system designs that support current and future business, combining computer simulation and modeling with data analytics.

  • Provide solutions to clients and project stakeholders for designing, engineering, implementing and improving systems and services.

  • Execute simulation tests and experiments to predict system outcomes.

  • Analyze, dissect, interpret, integrate, and abstract system design requirements; build simulation models according to those requirements; troubleshoot and resolve software issues; and document results of modeling and simulation activities.

  • Work with internal clients, project stakeholders, and support partners to gather system design requirements and create technical specifications.

  • Collect, prepare, and manipulate data into a format necessary for appropriate simulation modeling input analysis.

  • Construct computer simulation models using a simulation software solution based on system design requirements and technical specifications; and ensure the models are designed for flexibility to support future modeling needs and enhancements.

  • Operate, provide instruction for, and maintain a variety of simulation model training modules.

  • Present feedback to clients, project stakeholders, and partners for incorporation into system design decisions.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

  • Must have a Bachelor’s of Science degree.

  • Minimum of 9 years’ experience.  Will accept 5 years of additional experience in lieu of degree.

  • Must have an Active SECRET US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to maintain a SECRET Clearance. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting C5ISR DEVCOM programs.
