Amentum has an exciting opportunity for a full time Service Person to join their team at the Alice Springs office. Reporting to the Operations Lead – Maintenance, you will perform the maintenance, repair and renovation work in residential properties. The serviceperson also provides support to trades and other personnel, as well as undertaking duties and tasks required.

Alice Springs climate ranges from very hot summers to cold winters. Serviceperson activities include outdoor works in varying conditions.

Tasks include digging, trenching, landscaping and reticulation works in these conditions 

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of tasks to support the organization in its undertaking of the Vesta contract requirements which include but is not limited to reticulation repairs, regrouting of tiles and fencing repairs

• Support of trades and other personnel where required

• Undertake regular inspections and tasks with in the individuals skills, experience, qualifications and certifications 

• Undertake all work in a safe and professional manner 

• Report and incidents to management as a priority

• Use of computer systems to record and plan work tasks 

• Work as part of a team

• Assist in other areas of facilities and maintenance area from time to time, as required. 

• Work to ensure that safety is an integral part of everyday activities

• Other duties as directed by the vesta management team

Minimum Requirements

• At least 12 months demonstrated ability of skills in a variety of maintenance tasks

• Ability to safely undertake a wide range of maintenance activities

• Ability to understand written instructions and create basic written reports

• Ability to work with in a team environment 

• Ability to work professionally with minimal supervision

• Good interpersonal skills with a customer service focus

• Good communication skills – Verbal and written

• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and successfully complete assigned tasks

• Demonstrated ability to identify and analyze issues and develop solutions to problems 

• At least 18 years of age.

• Able to fluently read, write and speak English

Desirable 

• Training in appropriate safety procedures 

• confined space entry 

• working at heights

• electrical safety

• personal protective equipment 

• Lockout/tagout

• Working in trenches

• Previous experience within carpentry electrical or plumbing trades would be an advantage

Tickets and Licenses 

• Current Drivers License

EHS REQUIREMENT
