Essential Functions:

  • Lead by example in modeling the safety behaviors and attitude expected by Amentum.
  • Ensure employees comply with EHS policies and requirements by frequently visually verifying compliance. Immediately engage employees not in compliance.
  • Participate in injury management, incident investigation, cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
  • Recognize employees for their work contributions regularly through informal and formal recognition.
  • Responsible for the supervision of the Processing and Warehouse operation by ensuring policies and site/Program procedures are followed.
  • Plan and assign duties for personnel in each function and ensure fulfillment of production schedules in all areas.
  • Perform all department supervisor’s functions in concert with, and in the absence of, the Plant Manager.
  • By conducting cross training and to promote a team environment, ensure all employees can perform efficiently in all processing functions.
  • Responsible for training and motivating the workforce while ensuring employees are focused on safety, quality, productivity and customer service.
  • Evaluate and monitor the performance of processing personnel and ensure product is processed in accordance with contractual requirements.
  • Ensure the flow of product into the various departments on a continual basis.
  • Verify that all pallets are identified correctly by type, quantity, and lot number.
  • Troubleshoot and forward any potential problems within the plant to the Plant Manager.
  • Assist with the proper operation and maintenance of all production equipment in the plant.
  • Coordinate the on-time shipments to/from customer facilities.
  • Oversee Logistics functions and train as backup.
  • Supervise security clearance requests, ensuring they are obtained for necessary employees and kept up to date.  Request that clearance be revoked from employees when they leave employment.
  • Become competent using computer system and parts system to support training or fill in during the absence of hourly workers as necessary.
  • Understand and help implement established departmental goals and objectives to maximize customer satisfaction and company objectives.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Occasionally assist in various material handling functions.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
  • Computer proficiency required

                       

Desired Qualifications:

  • Two (2) to Four (4) years supervisory experience in a production or warehouse environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Organizational and personal leadership skills.

       

Compensation Details:

$65,000-80,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) This position includes a competitive benefits package.
