About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Head of Sustainability, the Social Value Lead will be responsible for the delivery of the NNEP framework’s Social Value KPI. Responsibilities include:
• Leading and coordinating internal and external stakeholders to deliver commitments related to both social value and sustainability initiatives.
• Ensuring data collation, analysis and accurate, regular KPI reporting internally and externally to the client.
• Serving as a key client-facing point of contact for social value and developing and maintaining strong client relationships.
• Organising and delivering social value events and outreach.
• Increasing awareness of and engagement with social value among employees, sharing knowledge to upskill teams in integrating social value and sustainability into projects.
• Driving continuous improvement to maximise social value opportunities and compiling case studies for internal communications and bids.
• Supporting the execution of components of the NNEP Framework’s Sustainability Strategic Plan, ensuring alignment with client net-zero targets and Amentum’s sustainability goals.
Role Summary
This role is responsible for driving the delivery of social value initiatives across the NNEP Framework, aligning with client objectives and the framework’s strategic sustainability plan. The Social Value Lead will work across a broad range of commitments, coordinating internal and external stakeholders, managing the Social Value KPI delivery and reporting, and implementation and promoting a culture of social responsibility and sustainability. This role involves client engagement, business development, with a strong emphasis on the interconnection of social value and sustainability.
Here’s What You’ll Need
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to engaging and influencing stakeholders.
• Experience in delivering, monitoring and evaluating social value outcomes.
• Knowledge of social value legislation, government policies, and public procurement requirements.
• Knowledge of the current social value, sustainability, employment and skills landscape.
• Knowledge and understanding of public procurement and competitive bidding social value requirements.
• Ability to work on own initiative, and people skills to inspire and encourage others.
Qualifications and Experience:
• A passion for social value with the capability to plan and lead delivery.
• Understanding clients and operational key aims, objectives and actions and deliver on these in the timescales required.
• Ensuring compliance with relevant Social Value legislation and client requirements.
• Leading the delivery of social value activities on large projects.
• Building internal and external networks of partners and collaborators to support the delivery of social value commitments.
• Working with internal teams to embed social value in the supply chain.
• Monitoring, evaluation and reporting on the impact of social value activities.
• Supporting work winning activities as required in the wider business (Defence & Asset Solutions).
• Knowledge and previous experience of delivering Social Value desirable.
• Experienced in using Microsoft office software, e.g. MS Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.
Any offer of employment will be strictly subject to the relevant security requirements for the role being met. This means that you will need to have, or be able to obtain, Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance and either Security Check (SC) or Developed Vetting (DV) clearance.
