Amentum is seeking a highly experienced Sensitive Activities (SA), Special Warfare (SW), Counter Weapons of Mass Destruction (CWMD), and Counterterrorism (CT) Operational Planner to support Special Operations Command Pacific (SOCPAC) in developing strategic plans and integration with operational planning teams (OPT) and cross-functional teams (CFT) to drive mission success!

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate and support SOCPAC SOJ5 with the development and production of the SOCPAC SA/CWMD/CT aspects of the campaign supporting plan and annexes/appendixes.
  • Provide expertise on national and DoD SA/CWMD/CT CONPLANs, strategies, and implementation plans.
  • Develop courses of action and operational concepts for SOCPAC and USINDOPACOM.
  • Draft talking points, white papers, and executive summaries for senior leaders.
  • Deliver the analytical rigor and draft proposals which allow SOCPAC to evaluate appropriate SOF steady state SA/CWMD/CT and response options to Commander USINDOPACOM, Commander SOCPAC, Commander SOCOM, and the Secretary of Defense
  • Participation with USSOCOM, multiple CCMDs and TSOCs, and interagency partners in various activities to provide SA/CWMD/CT and SOF subject matter expertise.
  • Participate in weekly Joint Staff, USINDOPACOM, USSTRATCOM, and USSOCOM SA/CWMD/CT events.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Former Special Operations officer or senior enlisted member with at least 10 years of operational and planning experience.
  • 5 years of experience in SA, SW, CWMD, or CT planning.
  • Experience in multi-disciplinary operations and planning experience.
  • Experience working within interagency environments.
  • Experience with SOF intelligence, targeting, and collection cycles.
  • Experience coordinating with senior officials (FO/GO/SES levels).
  • Experience in assessments and operational effectiveness metrics.
  • Must have an active Top-Secret security clearance and be SCI eligible. Note:  US Citizenship is required to obtain a Top-Secret Clearance.
  • CONUS and OCONUS travel may be required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting SOCPAC, USSOCOM, multiple CCMDs, and interagency partners.

The salary range for this position is $140K to $165K (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
