Amentum is looking to fill the Allen Park Test Laboratory (APTL) Software/Integration analyst position within the Ford VEV P/T & E/E Organization. Allen Park Test Lab is responsible for emissions development, fuel economy testing and certification for all North American programs as well as Homologation testing for Global ICE and Hybrid powertrains. Additionally, the laboratory is responsible for EV development and range certification testing for NA and Global markets. Candidate will be responsible for managing laboratory software integration. This includes new Host Software to replace current CFS VETS system. There the individual will be responsible to work with the supplier to develop plan to implement and deliver the solution to all test sites. This will include data migration to Ford data center for global use. Additional responsibility will also include integration of new Host with ELMS, TNET and certification data base. Further, this individual will be responsible for in integration of other automation initiatives within the laboratory space. Allen Park Testing facility is over 825,000 sq. ft. with 27 test cells comprised of 8 environment rooms capable of -20°F to 120°F, Solar loading facility, altitude test (hypobaric chamber) facility and analytical test capability for gasoline, diesel, hybrid, plug-in and full electric vehicles. APTL provides Regulatory compliance testing for all U.S. LEV III, TIER3, European Stage V & Stage VI, Korean Witness Certification, Chinese and EU Conformance of Production and U.S. In-Use Vehicle Compliance testing.

Position Duties:

• Software lead for all aspects of automation with the laboratory space

• Assist in the development of next gen laboratory management system (vehicle automation, scheduling, database)

• Deploy new host software across the entire laboratory.

• Manage VETS software, upgrades, and new features.

• Ensure full integration.

• Ensure full software compliance to TIER4, LEVIV and rest-of-world (EU Stage 7) regulations.

• Leverage industry best practices to design, implement, test and support new feature development.

• Investigate, new/old software deployments to fix bugs as issues arise.

• Investigate options and integrate new solutions to assess viability.

• Lead global team to ensure Rest of the World (RoW) compatibility.

• Minimum 5-year experience in software development and integration space (experience with AVL and HORIBA code)

• Previous experience in working in laboratory environment.

• Applied understanding of LavView

• Ability to break down large, complex processes into smaller scale deliverables with immediate benefit is critical

• Proven ability to collaborate on a global scale.

• Strong MS Office suite, MATLAB or MiniTab and computer skills

• Work hours are normally 8 hours per day and 5 days per week, Monday-Friday. Regular attendance of scheduled hours is extremely important, but not critical, except for deadlines and meetings. Punctuality and regular attendance are necessary to meet deadlines. Must exhibit flexibility of work hours to adjust to surge situations based on critical mission requirements.

Must complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen, health performance evaluation, audiogram and background check.

Must demonstrate professional behavior at all times when dealing with customers, management and co-workers. Must have clear, concise and accurate communications skills in English, both verbal and written. Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk to employees or others. Must maintain a positive work atmosphere by behaving and communicating in a professional manner. Independent personal transportation to office or work site is required. Travel to and from customer’s locations and the test fields may be required to support projects. This may involve airline travel. When operating any vehicle for work purposes, must wear seat belt and in addition, no cellular devices are to be used when vehicle is in motion.
