The Solution Architect supports the capture/proposal team by developing solutions that address customer problems or lead to efficiencies in our delivery approach. In coordination with the Capture Manager, the SA leads the development of the technical and management solutions and ensures connectivity throughout the proposal volumes.

Responsibilities:

• Provide early engagement support to understand requirements, determine technical solution priorities, pain points, vet solution alternatives, and shape the proposal.
• Analyze RFP requirements, instructions, and evaluation criteria, and develop responsive, innovative solutions including staffing and other costs; review solutions developed by others; present solutions to internal and external partners.
• Work with the Capture, Proposal and Program Managers (and Pricing) to develop solutions iteratively (including technical, management, transition, cost/estimation).
• Review iterative solution approaches with the leadership team and subject matter experts (Blue Team 1&2); conduct iterative solution health assessments and include the “voice” of the solution in Gate reviews (Strategy, Bid, etc).
• Research current and emerging technologies and Amentum process methodologies and propose changes and tailoring where needed to ensure proposed solutions are efficient and effective and meet customer objectives.
• Author Technical volume introductions, key sections, and orals slides, including developing compelling graphics.
• Lead multiple technical SMEs to develop a winning overall solution approach and contribute individual expertise in one or more domains.

• Lead technical solution strategy throughout the Capture and Proposal lifecycle, from Investigation through Proposal submission. Capture lessons learned for Outcomes.
• Contribute to win strategies and lead the development of technical win themes and solution plans. Ensure solution alignment with win strategy and PTW, and document assumptions.
• Develop artifacts needed to describe and present all solution elements throughout the capture process.
• Identify and select the best technical solutions and approaches to meet anticipated or actual acquisition requirements.

• Lead the design of the technical, management, and transition story, and artifacts needed to best sell the solution through the proposal.
• Identify the need for and assist operations experts and authors in the development of the technical, management, and transition response.
• Review proposals and provide critical feedback needed to strengthen the solution and proposals. (color team reviews)

Experience

• Security System Engineering / Solution Architect – Cloud Security with emphasis on cloud migration, Security Architecture performing architectural trade- offs including Zero-Trust, Data Protection, System Integration, Identity Management, Satellite Security (both ground and terrestrial)
• Ability to design Threat Intelligence applications – Contextual, Predictive Threat Intelligence, Threat Orchestration and Automation using AI/ML
• Working in and with the Intelligence Community environment, specifically with Secure Software Development and DevSecOps
