Amentum is seeking a Solutions Architect Senior to join our team of passionate individuals in Washington, DC. In this role you will support challenging, mission-critical projects that make a direct impact on the Nation’s security and intelligence mission.

As a Top Secret cleared Solutions Architect for this program, you will be working in an organization that’s mission is to develop and operate the best possible software for critical national security enterprise applications. This organization leverages SCRUM and SAFE Agile software development methodology and strong Dev Ops practices.

You will be responsible for performing complex and advanced architecture work in design, evaluation, planning, testing and operation in support of system development, engineering analysis and research. You will lead in the integration of processes and methodologies to ensure the performance of the total system. You will work directly with senior technical personnel, program managers, and external organizations in the planning, oversight, execution, and evaluation of multiple complex technical solutions related to a program's system and technical product development. You will apply intensive and diversified knowledge of scientific principles and practices in broad areas across one or more technical disciplines. You will maintain a liaison role for technical matters with staff and customers and acts independently on technical issues within his/her field of expertise. You will support the ATO and accreditation processes. “This position is contingent upon award”

Responsibilities:

Performs complex and advanced architecture work in design, evaluation, planning, testing and operation in support of system development, engineering analysis and research. Leads in the integration of processes and methodologies to ensure the performance of the total system. Works directly with senior technical personnel, program managers, and external organizations in the planning, oversight, execution, and evaluation of multiple complex technical solutions related to a program's system and technical product development. Applies intensive and diversified knowledge of scientific principles and practices in broad areas across one or more technical disciplines. Maintains a liaison role for technical matters with staff and customers and acts independently on technical issues within his/her field of expertise. Will support the ATO and accreditation processes.

Possesses and applies a comprehensive knowledge across key tasks and high impact assignments. Plans and leads major technology assignments. Evaluates performance results and recommends major changes affecting short-term project growth and success. Functions as a technical expert across multiple project assignments. May supervise others. Minimum of 8 years’ experience recommended. In absence of years of experience, certifications or past work may be used to show the level of experience needed to perform at this level.

A typical day in the life on this program involves:

• Lead the efforts of: design, develop, test, maintain and deploy new software applications

• Analyze and design new software solutions based on user and technical requirements

• Develop software in the AWS cloud

• Analyze existing architecture and new requirements and prepare technical recommendations

• Collaborate with cross functional teams

• Lead and mentor the technical development team

Requirements:

• Active Top Secret clearance

• Minimum of 8 years of experience with 6 years of related technical specialized experience

• Education: Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or other related field

• In absence of degree, additional years of experience may be substituted for educational requirements

Pay Transparency Verbiage

The base salary range for this position is $210k to $220k. This range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
