Description of Duties:

The SpOCC Administrator supports the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) on the Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions (IRES) contract. This position provides direct support to the Missile Defense Space Enterprise Architecture (MDSEA) organization, ensuring the stability and availability of critical IT infrastructure and services. The candidate will:

• Monitor the MDSEA Network using SolarWinds, vSphere, vRealize, OneView, and other provided tools to proactively identify and address potential issues.

• Optimize network monitoring software and tools, refine network and infrastructure diagrams, and rigorously vet alerts to minimize false positives and ensure accurate notifications.

• Manage the incident lifecycle within Remedy, responding to and resolving Incident tickets from MDSEA tenants, escalating as necessary.

• Develop and maintain a ticket lifecycle management, break/fix, and IMAC process aligned with MIT/EIT direction.

• Serve as the primary MDSEA IMAC point of contact, coordinating all internal processes and assisting the Biz Ops Manager with technical and IMAC-related issues within the MDSEA space.

• Provide expert guidance and facilitate troubleshooting in dynamic, time-constrained scenarios to matrixed staff, including network, systems, and application engineers across a geographically distributed enterprise.

• Coordinate and de-conflict maintenance requests and break/fix activities with MDSEA team members and tenants, seeking customer approval and adhering to pre-coordinated Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to minimize network availability impact.

• Oversee all aspects of IT incident management and escalation, ensuring effective escalation, management, and resolution, with clear and timely communication of status, plans, and actions to executive management and the Government customer.

• Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve system hardware, software, and networking issues.

• Coordinate directly with MDSEA Windows and Linux SAs to analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve Tier 1/2 IT issues within the MDSEA space.

Basic Requirements:

• Must have 2, or more, years of IT experience

• Must have proven experience supporting MIT customers in a CSA capacity.

• Must have demonstrated proficiency in using BMC Remedy for Incident, Work Order, and Task Management.

• Must have direct experience supporting the IRES (Integrated Research and Development for Enterprise Solutions) contract in a customer-facing role.

• Must have a solid understanding of Hardware Asset Management and the IMAC (Install, Move, Add, Change) process within the IRES environment.

• Must have an established history of effective troubleshooting and critical thinking skills related to IT Systems Administration.

• Must have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance.

This position is expected to pay $100,000 - $115,000 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.
