Position Description:

The successful candidate for the Stakeholder Project Integrator position will provide direct support to for the ITASAT2 mission which aims to demonstrate advanced space weather monitoring, RF geolocation, edge computing, and AI/ML technologies for real-time data analysis. This project is a joint effort between a number of US and Brazilian agencies.

The Stakeholder Project Integrator will provide day-to-day oversight and strategic advisement to the Mission Integration Manager (MIM) on all interagency stakeholder interactions, ensuring the alignment of technical, fiscal, and operational planning with U.S. stakeholder expectations, including SOUTHCOM, DoD labs, and other interagency partners. This is a part-time position.

Responsibilities:

Specific support to be provided includes, but is not limited to, the following:

  • Engage stakeholder users for system performance feedback and evolving mission fiscal and agreement needs.

  • Coordinate directly with the MIM on interagency agreement development, fiscal planning, reporting and compliance requirements.

  • Track stakeholder fiscal and agreement implementation priorities and ensure their integration into program planning, technical reviews, reporting and documentation.

  • Advise on interagency fiscal processes, funding agreements, and mutual cost-tracking in support of mission execution.

  • Support documentation and planning associated with stakeholder reporting requirements and strategic reviews.

  • Support the MIM on transition pathway documentation and operational planning supporting both the DoD and agency user communities.

  • Assist in the development of stakeholder fiscal engagement strategies and partner integration planning across all phases of the mission.

  • Maintain awareness and alignment with multiple interagency partnerships, monitoring compliance considerations and cooperative framework obligations.



Qualifications

A degree in Engineering or related field is required. A degree from an ABET accredited institution preferred. Typically, educational requirements are the equivalent of a BS with at least 30 years of experience, or a MS with at least 28 years of relevant experience.

The candidate is required to have:

  • At least 15 years of experience with NASA reimbursable programs and projects and more than 10 years’ experience with interagency project support to management. Experience on stakeholder management and associated interagency agreement development, fiscal planning, reporting, negotiating, relationship management and interagency fiscal compliance process requirements.

  • Experience with interagency fiscal processes, funding agreements, and cost-tracking in support of mission execution.

  • Proven experience with excellent communications, coordinating, status reporting to Project management team and highly knowledgeable with internal and external interagency fiscal requirements and stakeholder relations building.



Essential Functions

Work Environment:

Office environment. Requires ability to provide clear, concise, accurate and timely communication, both verbally and in writing (100%). Requires ability to interact professionally with co-workers, management, and client (100%). Requires travel in the domestic USA (<10%)

Physical Requirements:

Requires sitting for extended periods of time in meetings with peers, management, and with our client at NASA facilities to discuss technical issues (10%). Also, requires sitting for extended periods of time at a desk to write reports and perform engineering tasks (80%). Requires ability to use stairs or elevators for access between floors and multiple buildings at NASA and other facilities (10%).

Equipment and Machines:

Requires ability to operate a personal computer, a telephone, fax machine, copier, calculator, and other general office equipment (100%).

Attendance:

This is a part-time position - work schedule will be coordinated with the customer and will be dependent on the needs of the project schedule. Normal workday is from 7:30 a.m. through 4:30 p.m., Monday thru Friday. Minimal overtime may be required (10%) to meet schedule milestones and to support technical demands of the job. Regular attendance is a necessity and adequate arrangements for delegating duties during absences are required.

Other Essential Functions:

The ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and to make rational decisions, and to exercise good judgment is essential (100%). Grooming and dress must be appropriate for the position and must not impose a safety risk/hazard to the employee or others.
