Summary/General Description Of Job:
The incumbent is responsible for the overall planning, organizing, and providing Safety inspections for all assigned utility/facility/area.
Essential Duties & Job Functions:
• Supervises personnel in the area of structural maintenance and repair
• Ensures equipment is operated and maintained in accordance with company and customer directives
• Inspects work to ensure compliance with instructions, specifications, and procedures
• Coordinate the duties of subordinate personnel
• Supervises maintenance of records
• Recommends tradespersons for training and certification
• Works closely with and gives direction to shop planners
• Resolves personnel problems
• Interviews potential employees
• Evaluates personnel performance
• Complies with company-wide Safety program and strives to maintain an accident-free environment
• Reviews departmental operations and recommends changes to management
• Forecast resource requirements and submits budget recommendations to management
• Prepares reports for management review
• Promotes quality and customer service
• Maintains effective working relationships in cooperation with the Chugach management team to meet the mission objectives of the contract.
• Keeps Site Safety & Health Officer apprised of any unique situations and problems encountered.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

• The proper use of tools and equipment commonly used in the Safety Inspector field.
• Completing all mandated training requirements per government and management directives.
• Timely and cost-effective performance of duties.
• Timely completion and accuracy of all departmental work.
• Dealing with a variety of people in a professional, courteous manner in diversified situations.
• Adherence to established company safety policies and good industrial and office safety practices.
• Compliance with company Standard Operating Procedures and Personnel policies and procedures.
• Having the ability to work well under pressure.
Job Requirements (Education, Experience, Professional Associations):
Mandatory
• High school education/equivalent
• Journey-level status in one of the building trades or 4 years plumbing or scheduling experience in one of the building trades.
• Two years prior lead, supervisory, and/or administrative experience required.
• May require special license or certification.
Preferred
• Current SECRET Security Clearance.
The base salary range for this position is $75,000 to $85,000. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
