Amentum is currently seeking a Subcontracts Administrator I to support its International Development and Capacity Building (ID&CB Division). This position is a remote position. This individual will be responsible for managing a region for cradle to grave procurement and subcontract support for programs that require in-country logistics support. Must be comfortable working in a dynamic and high energy environment and be capable of simultaneously managing multiple projects with demanding schedules.

The SCA will apply sound contracting techniques to support acquisition planning, acquisition strategies, and subsequent acquisition of materials and simple services to support program related efforts. The successful candidate will accomplish the following objectives under close supervision:

  • Assists in the preparation and administration of subcontracts, task orders and subsequent amendments consistent with client requirements government regulations and procurement policies/procedures.
  • Reviews client solicitations received by company.
  • Prepares and conducts negotiations on terms and conditions.
  • Performs price analysis and conducts negotiations on price and price related terms and other subcontract provisions. 
  • Responsible for keeping management informed of the deliverables and payment of invoices. 
  • Learns subcontract standards, plans and policies.
  • Maintains contact with staff to keep them informed of the performance of subcontract negotiation, preparation and monitoring.
  • Disseminates information to appropriate employees regarding subcontract status, compliance, modification, deviation, negotiation and termination. 

Qualifications/Knowledge/Skills

  • BA/BS in business or related field or equivalent + 0-5yrs. exp.
  • Requires some knowledge of business principles in areas such as procurement, business and contracts law, accounting and standard operating procedures. Also, requires some basic knowledge and experience and the ability to perform job requirements. 
  • Regularly communicates and interacts with lead or manager, other procurement staff, functional peer groups, line organizations and suppliers.
  • Works on assignments that are of low to moderate complexity.
  • Analyzes situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained.
  • Receives minimal instruction on routine work and general instruction on progressively more complex assignments. Utilizes professional concepts learned to solve a variety of problems.
  • Detail oriented and organized. Able to read, understand and develop subcontracts, task orders and other documents and ensure accuracy.
