Amentum is now hiring for several exciting positions in support of the Prototyping Integration Facility (PIF) of the Command, Control, Communication, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance Center (C5ISR) at the Ft. Belvoir, VA,  Aberdeen Proving Grounds, MD and Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst, NJ areas. This project will provide the U.S. Army, U.S. Army Futures Command, U.S. Special Forces and the U.S. Marine Corps integration of C5ISR operational prototypes onto a range Military Weapon Systems & Platforms (air, ground & sea) as well as performing C5ISR prototyping, integration, and testing support based on Real-World emerging needs of the Warfighter.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Oversee the set up and operates a full range of machine tools found in a well-equipped prototype development shop. 
• Work from engineering design drawings and technical specifications.
• Plan and oversee the  Fabrication and construct ion of mechanisms, models and instruments that fulfill engineering requirements. 
• Determines necessity for special tools, dies and fixtures required to accomplish intricate machining and assembly operations and set-up and operate CNC machines (Machining Center, Lathe and Milling Machine).  Works independently, with minimal supervision.    Plans programs being performed on these systems to include providing estimates for work and tracking expenditures.   Works with other engineers to design systems   Works as Network/ Electrical/Mechanical/Software Engineer who oversees prototype/ limited manufacturing programs focused on C5ISR programs.   Provides technical leadership in the development of concepts, technical data packages, and oversees fabrication of hardware systems.  Works with other engineers to ensure quality, safety and logistics concerns related to systems designs are met.  Assists in the preparation of test plans to demonstrate the effectiveness of the design packages.  Also presents the results of the design and test phases and works with customers by providing estimates for work and tracking expenditures.  

Required Qualifications:

• Requires a High School Diploma.  Preferred to be a graduate of a technical school.  8 years experience required.  
• Must provide subject matter expertise to the design fabrication, maintenance, and operations of C5ISR prototype systems
• Must be capable of performing analyses of system operations.  Must have knowledge of and experience in the operations of hardware systems and components.
• Must have experience in fault detection, isolation, and correction of hardware systems and individual components.
• Must be capable of planning and overseeing  routine system maintenance and analysis functions including:  hardware configurations; adding, removing and replacing hardware components; use of hardware and software diagnostic testing tools; reading of electronic circuit schematics.  Installs, operates, troubleshoots communications-electronics equipment, power distribution systems, signal distribution systems and RF distribution systems for complex systems such as military shelters, aircraft, ground vehicles, etc., as may be applicable.  Works from, and assists in the development of, engineering drawings.
• Works independently, with minimal supervision. 
• Must have an Active US Government Secret Clearance. Please note US Citizenship is required to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance.
