Seeking a motivated self-starter with experience in the overall planning, direction, and success of major programs, systems development efforts, and research or technology initiatives that have great significance to the Navy's Submarine needs. Candidates will need experience being responsible for the overall program definition, organization, and direction of short and long-range plans. This includes the responsibility for formulating and guiding the technical approach; and providing consultation regarding defining and negotiation with activity and agency personnel for necessary resources. Establishment and control of technical milestones, schedules, budgets, and costs are also essential skills for this position.
Required Skills:
Minimum 5 years of experience with Navy Program Management
Minimum 2 years of experience with Navy Engineering support
Ability to analyze and process engineering program documentation
Ability to assess and update spend plans
Ability to develop/document/implement new processes
Ability to analyze program risks and develop risk assessments
Must be proactive, work independently, and within a team environment
Ability to travel to support client (minimal, 1-3 times per year- typically local: Washington, DC, Manassas, VA, Fairfax, VA
Ability to work well in an agile and collaborative work environment
Must be able to work in a hybrid environment at the Washington Navy Yard
Must have an Active Secret US Government Clearance. Note: US Citizenship is required to maintain a Secret Clearance.
Preferred Skills:
NAVSEA and/or Team Submarine experience
Experience working with various Navy Waterfront entities such as shipyards, installation teams, and regional maintenance facilities
Familiarity with U.S. Naval weapons systems processes and practices
Experience working in Jira and familiarity with the Agile process
Experience or familiarity with the BYG-1 submarine combat system
Experience or familiarity with the Submarine Warfare Federated Tactical System (SWFTS)
Hardware design and procurement experience
Managing Manufacturing experience
Supply chain analysis experience
HIRING SALARY RANGE: $105,000 - $165,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
