We have an exciting opportunity for a System Manager Insight Oversight HALO Module to join the team with Mclaurin Aerospace, a teammate company.

The System Manager Insight Oversight HALO Module will:

  • P rovide Insight/Oversight for the HALO Module, Command and Data Handling (C&DH) System Management, a critical sub-system of the Gateway Program which will return to the lunar mission vehicles.
  • Review design and create models for performance and reliability studies.
  • Support sub-project requirement and verification data packages to support architecture requirements, design, verification/validation, operations, and sustaining engineering.
  • Support product life cycle reviews, coordinate integration, verification, and validation activities per NASA Systems Engineering Process.
  • Work with requirements to align with hardware specifications while understanding the verifications and validation.
  • Review verification and validation reports to verify compliance with requirements. Participate and contribute to system requirements reviews, risk management, preliminary design reviews and critical design reviews.
  • Work and present schedule and progress to customers
  • Must have good communication and organizational skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
  • Perform other duties as required.


Requisition Qualifications:



    This position has been posted at multiple levels. Depending on the candidate's experience, requirements, and business needs, we reserve the right to consider candidates at any level for which this position has been advertised.

    • Typically requires a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Engineering and normally possess 5-10 years of related experience. License and certification may be required.
    • Must have a BS degree in Aerospace / Avionics / Computer Science, Software Engineering or Electronics/Electrical Engineering from an accredited engineering school.
    • Knowledge of Scheduling, budgeting, and lifecycle management of space mission projects.
    • Knowledge of Fault Tolerant Systems and Process for certifying for Human Rated Missions.
    • Ability to ensure C&DH systems meet mission objectives, using risk management and certifications for flight readiness processes.
    • Must have experience in leading and coordinating with technical subject matter experts on systems documentation for analysis, as well as systems, test, and verification reviews.
    • Must have knowledge of spacecraft avionics and space rated hardware.
    • Must have knowledge and understanding of SE&I processes, methodologies, tools, and technologies.
    • Must have good communication and organizational skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
    • Must have Experience Conducting design reviews, failure investigations, and trade studies.
    • Experience with requirements management, interface control, and system verification methodologies.


    Requisition Preferences:

    • Knowledge of Flight Hardware and/or Flight Processes / Documentation.
    • Experience in Problem-Solving & Critical Thinking - Rapid troubleshooting and anomaly resolution.
    • Experience TTE Network and Traditional CISCO like ethernet switches and Cyber Security.
    • Experience in System Hazard Analysis and FMEA reviews.

    Essential Functions

    Work Environment

    Generally, an office environment, but can involve inside or outside work depending on task.

    Physical Requirements

    Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods (90% of time). May require lifting and carrying up to 25 lbs. (5% of time).

    Equipment and Machines

    Standard office equipment (PC, telephone, printer, etc.).

    Attendance

    Regular attendance in accordance with established work schedule is critical. Ability to work outside normal schedule and adjust schedule to meet peak periods and surge requirements.
