Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Receive source data from subject matter experts (SMEs) and coordinate with SMEs to prepare technical documents (Standard Operating Procedures, Operating Procedures, Test Procedures, and -upplemental Training Guides) from the source data.
  • Prepare Engineering Change Request (ECR) forms, providing specific reasoning for changing or creating a document as well as a detailed description of the changes necessary.
  • Host formal document reviews (Tabletop Reviews) with project team to validate the content of the document.
  • Schedule and participate in Operational Proofing's of documents in a lab environment to demonstrate the content and purpose of the document.
  • Submit technical documents to configuration Management (CM) to initiate Change Review Board (CRB) reviews of the document by all required team members.
  • Determine which team members should perform CRB reviews.
  • Participate in CRB meetings to review and resolve comments against the document draft made by the other CRB reviewers.
  • Incorporate all valid review comments into the final document. 
  • Participate in regularly scheduled status meetings. 
  • Routinely update status files for work assignments. 

Required Qualifications:

  • 3 years of Technical Writing experience for DoD programs
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent
  • 5 or more years of experience in engineering, science management, operations, or research analysis
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a United States Government Secret Clearance. Please note US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active Secret Clearance
