The Utilities Maintenance Technician is responsible for providing an advanced level of expertise in responding to work orders, troubleshooting, and providing proactive, predictive, preventive, and corrective maintenance on boilers, steam turbines, industrial chillers, feedwater pumps and support systems in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
The Utilities / HVAC Maintenance Technician will perform many daily general duties, including:
Diagnosing, troubleshooting, and repairing industrial mechanical systems, chiller plant equipment / systems, High pressure boilers, steam turbines, pumps, valves, and pneumatic systems.
Conducting predictive and preventative maintenance inspections and performing required preventive maintenance actions such as lubrication, cleaning, filter changes, and more.
Troubleshooting and repairing various utility plant support systems.
Performing basic repairs on water, compressed air, and steam lines.
Performing preventive maintenance on mechanical systems and control and operating systems, as scheduled in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
Responding and providing service and feedback to the customer on all work orders while assuring compliance to codes, regulations, and industry standards.
Recommending measures to improve maintenance methods and equipment performance.
Analyzing and resolving work problems, or assisting workers in solving work problems
Understanding company policies and enforcing safety regulations. Performing daily duties of the position in a safe manner by following proper safety guidelines such as job hazard analysis and lockout/tag-out procedures while wearing PPE as required.
