Warehouse Foreman (Food Service)

Amentum, a large government contract company, is seeking a Warehouse Foreman-Food Service.

The Warehouse Foreman-Food Service leads a field team in performing warehouse, inventory, supply, and daily workflow duties. 

Other duties include:

  • Lead and instruct field team on proper receiving, storage, and issuing of warehouse items

  • Ensure the process of First In, First Out, First to Expire (FIFOFE) is maintained at all times in accordance with requirements

  • Monitor and analyze operational data and reports to verify compliance with established policies, procedures, and work standards

  • Ensure compliance with current regulations and directives regarding financial inventory and accounting

  • Oversee preparation of material control and accounting input for data processing and review output documents for accuracy

  • Inspect and evaluate inventory management activities including storage and rotation of stock upon food deliveries

  • Prepare reports on materials, supplies, and equipment availability, storage space, and relocation

  • Properly resolve or refer personnel and operational issues as they arise

  • Perform other duties as assigned


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum five (5) years of experience in a warehouse environment with at least one (1) year of supervisory or OCONUS/combat zone work

  • Experience as liaison representative between military services, commercial agencies, and host nation elements

  • Experience in effectively handling personnel issues, cargo documentation, and logistical movement control

  • Effective oral and written communication skills

  • Knowledge of asset management, ground transportation, and distribution administration

  • Skill in analyzing and evaluating Subsistence Total Order and Receipt Electronic System (STORES) food service software is preferred but not required

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and resolve issues as they occur

  • Strong computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Word and Excel

  • Knowledge of food safety regulations (e.g., HACCP, FDA, USDA) and best practices for handling perishable items.

  • Forklift certification or ability to obtain certification.

  • Medically clear for food service operations

EDUCATION

  • High school diploma or equivalent, some college preferred

WORKING AND LIVING CONDITIONS

This position may be located in an environment with harsh and dangerous working and living conditions. Employees must be willing and able to perform regular job requirements in this environment. Employees must be willing and able to perform physical activities including, but not limited to, heavy lifting and moving of items, parts, assemblies, and equipment up to the safety regulation maximum; climbing in and out of equipment; crawling; and working outdoors. This includes being able to lift and carry 40 pounds of personal protective equipment for extended periods of time and being capable of running and ‘duck & cover’ during emergencies without putting oneself or others at risk.
