Warehouse Supervisor

Essential Functions:
- Lead by example in modeling the safety behaviors and attitude expected by Amentum.
- Ensure employees comply with EHS policies and requirements by frequently visually verifying compliance. Immediately engage employee not in compliance.
- Participate in injury management, incident investigation, cause analysis, and corrective action implementation.
- Recognize employees for their work contributions regularly through informal and formal recognition.
- Provide direct supervision for warehouse personnel to include material handling laborers, forklift drivers, logistics clerks and yard drivers.
- Assign duties for personnel in each warehouse function and ensure fulfillment of order schedules on time.
- Coordinate cross training and scheduling to ensure coverage of warehouse positions.
- Evaluate and monitor the performance of warehouse personnel.
- Generate shipping and receiving documents and ensure orders are received, distributed, stored, and shipped in accordance with contractual requirements.
- Conduct daily cycle counts and inventory audits to verify compliance with inventory accuracy goal.
- Understand and implement established departmental goals and objectives to maximize performance and customer satisfaction.
- Verify that all products are stored correctly by type and quantity.
- Troubleshoot and forward any potential problems within the plant to the Plant Manager.
- Assist with proper operation and maintenance of all production equipment in the plant.
- Review all safety guidelines, workplace safety policies, and OSHA requirements with personnel.
- Initiate and assist with personnel issues, including disciplinary actions, promotions, evaluations and interviews.
- Generate and prepare prescribed reports for management that detail departmental goals and objectives.
- Communicate customer requirements, company policies and procedures, ethics philosophy, EEO/AA, safety guidelines and OSHA requirements to employees, and require compliance.
- Confer with other supervisors to coordinate activities of individual departments to maximize overall flow and increase productivity.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Occasionally assist in various material handling functions.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience.
- Computer proficiency required (MS Office preferred).
Desired Qualifications:
- Supervisory experience in a production or warehouse environment.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Organizational and personal leadership skills.
Compensation & Benefits
- Hiring Salary Range: $65,000-$77,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
