About the Opportunity

We have a vacancy for a Wind Turbine Technician to primarily support the Operations and Maintenance of Amentums O&M Portfolio primarily around the North Wales region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to the requirements of Health & Safety Legislation, relevant company/client HSE rules & guidance and Wind Turbine Safety Rules,
  • Perform routine scheduled maintenance on primarily Bonus300 Wind Turbine mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems. There may be opportunities to work on other Turbine platforms,
  • Respond to breakdowns and undertake unscheduled maintenance, conduct fault finding and failure analysis,
  • Be expected to achieve the role of a Wind Turbine Safety Rules Authorised Technician on a variety of Wind Turbine platforms
  • Accurately record details of work completed and parts used on the Amentum Maintenance Management System, Approved Written Procedures, service checklists etc,
  • Have the ability to work as part of a team but equally show strong initiative & confidence to make decisions, and support other Amentum teams in completing major component exchanges,
  • Assist in the full scope of site operations,
  • Communicate effectively to clients and all levels within the business in both written and verbal formats,


  • Ideally, candidates will hold a relevant engineering qualification, OEM specific turbine training or GWO Basic Technical Training and have held an Authorisation as an Authorised Technician under the Wind Turbine Safety Rules.
  • However, Amentum are willing to consider candidates with qualifications/experience of mechanical, hydraulic, electrical maintenance, fault finding, and repairs on industrial systems/power systems.
  • IT proficiency on the Microsoft office suite is essential.
  • Holding of GWO safety training certificates would be preferred.
  • Candidates will be required to travel and work away from time to time and should hold a full driving licence.


Any offer of employment will be strictly subject to the relevant security requirements for the role being met. This means that you will need to have, or be able to obtain, Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance and either Security Check (SC) or Developed Vetting (DV) clearance. The security clearance process may require non-British nationals or dual nationals (i.e. those with British and another nationality) to be subject to additional evaluation, depending on nationalities held and the nature of the work to be carried out
