Our history

Although Amentum is a relatively new company, our heritage dates back to the early 20th Century, with roots in iconic American companies. We honed our reputation throughout the Golden Age of Innovation, establishing deep relationships with customers in the U.S. Department of Defense and Department of Energy.

In more recent years, we have emerged as a prominent government contractor, formerly known as URS, and later joined forces with a world-renowned integrated infrastructure company. We honed our values of operational excellence, mission focus, and successful execution underpinned by a strong sense of safety and integrity.

Amentum in SW Indiana specializes in technical engineering solutions and total lifecycle leadership for many of the systems that protect and enable the Warfighter. Every decision we make, every technology we develop, and every business relationship we foster is performed with the fighting man and woman in mind.

Amentum in SW Indiana has concentrated its resources and core competencies in the 3 mission areas which best support the Warfighter: Strategic Missions, Electronic Warfare, and Expeditionary Warfare. Supporting this customer means our work is critical to the safety and security of our nation.
