About the Opportunity
We are seeking an AI Solutions Programme Manager to lead the design, coordination, and implementation of AI-enabled solutions across major programmes and portfolios as well as supporting the Amentum P3M capability to develop new solutions for effective delivery. Sitting within our Digital function, this role is central to helping clients and internal teams adopt AI to drive operational improvement, enhance decision-making and deliver better project and programme outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
• Define and lead the delivery of AI-enablement strategies across projects, programmes and portfolios
• Work with clients and internal teams to identify priority AI opportunities and assess their value
• Coordinate the development and implementation of AI solutions in line with business needs
• Collaborate across technical and delivery functions to ensure integration of AI tools into wider systems and workflows
• Lead stakeholder engagement and change management to support AI adoption and maturity
• Contribute to AI capability development across the organisation, including best practice sharing, training, and community building
• Support bids and strategic opportunities requiring digital and AI expertise
Here’s What You’ll Need
Key Competencies
• Strong programme and project delivery experience in technical or regulated environments and Experience of working in transformation, innovation or digital change environments
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, with a track record of building consensus across complex organisations
• Strategic and analytical thinker with the ability to turn vision into practical delivery
• Knowledge of the AI landscape, emerging technologies, and their business applications
Qualifications and Experience:
• Degree in a STEM subject, ideally with postgraduate specialism in modelling, data or analytics and Chartered status, or commitment to ongoing professional development
• Recognised training in AI, digital transformation or innovation
• Familiarity with project/programme methodologies (e.g. APM PFQ, MSP, PRINCE2)
• Experience working in Defence, Nuclear, or similarly complex infrastructure sectors
Any offer of employment will be strictly subject to the relevant security requirements for the role being met. This means that you will need to have, or be able to obtain, Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) clearance and either Security Check (SC) or Developed Vetting (DV) clearance. The security clearance process may require non-British nationals or dual nationals (i.e. those with British and another nationality) to be subject to additional evaluation, depending on nationalities held and the nature of the work to be carried out
