Amentum is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic Supervisor to provide support for a position located at Tyndall AFB, FL.
Responsibilities
- Supervises the Full-Scale work center to include employees, flow of maintenance, work schedules, training, etc.
- Ensures compliance with Air Force directives, Quality Management processes and other contractual guidance.
- Participates in daily/weekly maintenance meetings.
- Assists the Full-scale Manager in performing QF-16 Aerial Target fleet management to include status, efficient use of configurations, deliveries, and losses.
- Works with Operations Scheduling to ensure scheduled events such as target wiggles, missions, troubleshooting, and other operational requirements are deconflicted.
- Interfaces with the customer and outside agencies/contractors for planning, documentation review, engineering support and test support.
- Ensures Time Compliance Technical Orders are tracked and completed.
- Directs general services, repairs, and overhauls of aircraft to ensure aircraft are in good mechanical condition and safe for flight.
- Consults Technical Orders and manufacturers manuals for specifications and feasibility of repair or replacement.
- Ensures all equipment, supplies and munitions are on hand and available by supervising supply and support personnel.
- Ensures HAZMAT storage, utilization and accumulation are compliant with applicable directives.
- Liaises with government regarding facility occupancy, upkeep, and utilization to include aircraft maintenance utility requirements.
- Responsible for subordinate employee training, mentoring, work assignments, and disciplinary actions.
- In addition to mechanics and technicians, in conjunction with the Aircraft Mechanic Manager; supervises the Sheetmetal, Aerospace Ground Equipment, Maintenance Control, Fuels, Egress, Non-Destructive Inspection, Parachute Shop and Aircrew Flight Equipment sections.
- Reports directly to the Aircraft Mechanic Manager.
- Other duties may be assigned by the Aircraft Mechanic Manager.
Requirements
- 3+ years of relevant experience with Master’s degree or 5+ years of relevant experience with Bachelor’s degree.
- F-16 aircraft 9-Level Maintenance and supervisory experience.
- Supervisory experience at 9-Level with other airframes, coupled with F-16 experience will be considered.
- Secret security clearance is required. Applicants selected must be a US Citizen to apply for a Secret Security Clearance. Applicants selected either must currently possess a Secret clearance or will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements to obtain clearance prior to commencement of employment and maintain a security clearance for access to classified information or Closed/Restricted Areas throughout duration of employment.
Desired:
- Experience as Squadron, AMU and/or Lead Production Superintendent in an F-16 unit highly desired.
