Assistant Supply Manager (SWA Bn)

Purpose: Under the general direction this position is responsible for performing a full range of duties in order to manage functions of the supply department to include receiving, processing, storing, issuing, inventories, and accountability of set equipment. Assures regulatory guidance and PWS requirements are met in regard to the management of containers, Class III products, retrograde of equipment, receipt and accountability of equipment, inventory and accountability of secondary items, and the storage of all assets. Oversee readiness and configuration of set equipment.


Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Monitors and reviews personnel performance and provides subordinates with counseling, training, and guidance as required.

  • May be required to conduct employee interviews and executing hiring actions.

  • Develop and/or revises appropriate standard operating procedures, flow charts, and work instructions that meet mission requirements.

  • Troubleshoots problem areas, identifies solutions, and develops process improvement projects.

  • Develops slide briefings and conduct briefing to senior leadership as required.

  • Ensures tasks are executed in order to meet mission deadlines.

  • Responsible for oversight of data administration on the contract to include submission of information to populate reports, contract deliverables, develop plans, SOPs and other required contract documentation.

  • Oversees the APS-5 equipment accountability, configuration, and storage.

  • Acts as the primary communication link between the department and the LOC, to ensure efficient execution of Taskers and/or missions.

  • Interfaces with USG, COR, ASC QA, and other external customers

  • Coordinates, tracks progress, validates, and synchronizes efforts with other departments to ensure completion of tasks for all missions assigned to the section.

  • Possess in-depth knowledge of all phases of Supply.

  • Ensures Performance Work Statement requirements and company goals are met.

  • Ensure strict compliance to safety practices and support the Safety Policies and Procedures. Instills a safety-first mentality within respective work areas and a culture that achieves low accident rates and minimal lost-time injuries.

  • Adhere to ISO Policies, Procedures, and Work Instructions in support of Quality Management System.

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Experience:

  • 8 years’ supervisory experience in supply or related activities, required.


Specialized Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Must be detail oriented with a high degree of accuracy.

  • Must have advanced level of proficiency in the use of MS Office, including Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook and other related applications.

  • Possess the ability to multitask, along with having advanced knowledge of Army Supply documentation such as DA Form 1348, DA Form 2062 and DA Form 444

  • Advanced proficiency in Army Supply Regulations, AR 710-2, AR 735-5, AR 740-26 and DA PAM 708-2

  • Must have a broad, comprehensive and extensive knowledge of the theory, principles, and methods required to plan, track, and execute a Logistical Support Operation.

  • Must possess the ability to plan, organize, manage and delegate job assignments to personnel assigned in order to meet deadlines.

  • Must have advanced written and oral communications skills.

  • Must have advanced interpersonal communication skills and ability to work and communicate with others effectively.

  • Must possess working knowledge of the Army War Reserve Deployment System (AWRDS), various LOGSA Logistics Integrated Warehouse (LIW) applications, and other approved automated property accountability systems.

  • Duties may vary dependent on department/section.

Certification, License & Clearance:

  • Driver’s license required.

  • Ability to obtain NIPR access for USG STAMIS access required.

  • Tier 1 NACI or higher required for all U.S. Citizens.

Facility credentials/authorization required: Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization. 

Note: U.S. Citizenship is required to for facility credentials/authorization at this work location. 


Work Environment, Physical Demands & Mental Demands:

  • Ability to perform job duties efficiently and effectively.

  • Must be able to work in extreme environmental conditions including dust and high temperatures.

  • Must be able to endure long hours, exposure to weather and hazardous conditions.

  • Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
