Amentum is seeking a CE Supervisor, Heavy Repairs for the North of Las Vegas, NV area to lead multi-craft construction union craftsmen in structural and horizontal shops to include: Carpenters, Lock Smiths, Iron Workers, Sheet Metal, Painters, Heavy Equipment Operators, Teamsters, Laborers, Cement Finishers, and Entomologists.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Manage construction, maintenance, repair, renovation, relocation, and demolition of all structural systems associated with permanent and temporary buildings, heavy structures, prefabricated structures, tension fabric structures, modulars, and supporting infrastructure.

  • Knowledge of concrete formwork, scaffolding, windows, doors, walls, steps, roofing, overhead and roll-up doors, hangar doors, overhead hoists, welding processes and certifications, metals, layout/fabrication/installation and repair, locking devices to include; GSA containers, keyed, combination, cipher, panic hardware/exit devices, and pad locks.

  • Knowledge of protective coatings and preservatives preparation and application of; primers, paints, sealants, stains, airfield rubber removal and striping.

  • Knowledge of overhead crane inspections & certifications.

  • Manage maintenance, repair, and new construction of pavements (concrete & asphalt) for airfields, roads, semi-improved roads and streets.

  • Lead anti-icing, de-icing, and snow removal operations.

  • Oversee sanitary and construction debris landfill operations, ensure compliance with Federal and State regulations.

  • Manage herbicides, pesticides, and BASH Plan.

  • Direct crack, spalls, joint and pavement surface repairs.

  • Oversee quarry operations to include: rock crushing, multiple aggregates production, and operation of concrete and asphalt batch plants.

  • Ensures all operations comply with the Air Quality permit.

  • Oversees concrete and asphalt paving, chip and fog sealing operations.

  • Oversees crane operations.

  • Submit red-line drawings for completed projects.

  • Annually reviews, updates and executes the following Plans: Roof Repair/Maintenance Plan, Snow Removal, Airfield Maintenance, Grounds Maintenance, and Base Cleanup.

  • Work closely with associate CE Supervisors and Superintendents, Project Officers, Engineering/Design, Survey, and Materials Test Lab.

  • Coordinate manpower and equipment to execute projects to meet or exceed customers' critical timelines.

  • Perform Duty Officer functions.

  • Work overnights and weekends as required.

  • Interact with foremen, union stewards, division mangers, Gov't POCs, internal/external customers

  • Direct daily activities/work load of assigned of shops: schedule/execute work orders and PMIs.

  • Plan and direct new construction/renovation projects, inspect job sites on a routine basis.

  • Participate in project design reviews and provide feedback on constructability and maintainability.

  • Ensure personnel remain current with certification, licensing and training requirements.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, sketches.

  • Review, approve and correct timesheets, approve leave requests, training/travel reimbursements.

  • Prepare/submit materials, tools, parts, PPE purchase requests.

  • Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations. 

  • Coordinate disciplinary action with Human Resources.

  • Perform all other position related duties as assigned or requested.

Compensation:

The annual starting salary rate for this position is between $105,000 - $112,000.00 annually.  Factors which may affect starting pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

  • Associate degree in Construction Technology, or minimum 10-years' experience in related construction, maintenance or Project Management fields.

  • Must have, or obtain, OSHA-30 card. 

  • Position requires a government Top Secret Security Clearance. 

  • Possess a valid state issued driver’s license.

Work Environment, Physical Demands, and Mental Demands:

Outdoor environment with exposure to weather; walking on uneven ground; lifting; carrying; griping; constant use of sight abilities while reviewing documents; constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness; must possess planning/organizing skills; must use required personal protective equipment; and must be able to work under deadlines.
