Role Title: CFS Design Engineer

Role Description: The AIR5431 Ph3 Customer Furnished Services (CFS) Design Engineer role reports to the CFS Design Lead, to design solutions to provide interfacing services to the Civil and Military Air Traffic System (CMATS) and Australian Defence OneSKY Towers (ADOT).

Responsibilities - The responsibilities of the AIR5431 Ph3 CFS Design Engineer role are as below:
• Develop statements of requirement and engineering/design notes
• Develop and update external interface description documentation
• Develop, document, update and execute transition plans that supports CMATS and ADOT integration, verification and validation at twelve Defence Sites whilst maintaining existing operations
• Work closely with stakeholders (incl S&CSPO, AvSSPO, DDG, SEG) to ensure compliance with extant system management processes and appropriate engineering approvals 
• Support Functional Performance Specifications, Engineering Document and System Specification reviews from internal and external stakeholders as required 
• Support contract deliverable and design reviews

Mandatory Requirements
• Have the ability to obtain a Defence clearance to NV1 level
• A degree in an electrical/electronic engineering discipline, or significant experience providing technical support for electronic/communication systems 
• Systems engineering experience in acquisition or sustainment environment 
• Demonstrated strong communication & stakeholder management skills 

Highly Desirable Requirements
• Experience in Air Traffic Management (Defence or Civil) or similar ground based Voice and Data communications environments and systems
• Experience working with internal Defence organisations (eg. DDG, SEG)
• A general understanding of internet protocol networks and interfaces
• A general understanding of VoIP and legacy Voice Communication Systems
• A general understanding of Facilities Monitoring and Control systems
• Be a self-starter & highly motivated
• Previous Defence (CASG) project experience
• Previous engineering/technical experience managing integration in a System of Systems environment 

Travel 
• Be available and prepared to travel to sites at short notice and for extended periods
