About the Opportunity 

Nuclear Power Programmes has been formed with the vision to support positive change and help shape the future of Nuclear Power.

Operational throughout the UK and across continental Europe, we are seeking to expand our team on a variety of nuclear projects, which range in technologies and that find themselves at different stages of their development. In both client facing and internal roles we are delivering major programme and project management capabilities throughout the project lifecycle. We are driving to deliver safe, high quality and to time solutions by thinking innovatively and working collaboratively.

As the Cost Systems Engineer you will hold functional responsibility support for EcoSys (Cost Management System) and associated reporting across the Sizewell C Project. You'll have demonstrable experience of working with EcoSys on a major infrastructure project environment, with an in depth understanding of Cost and Change Management principles including both scope delivered by the Supply Chain and scope delivered by the Client.

You will need to have significant knowledge of the Project Controls functions and their purpose to be able to carry out system assurance activities without a reliance on the functional leads within Project Controls. Key responsibilities will be:

• Extensive EcoSys configuration experience.

• Experience of managing Work and Cost Breakdown Structures, including P6 driven coding.

• Experienced in aligning cost to the scope captured within the scheduled activities.

• Understanding of how to implement digital solutions and systems that drive value for clients in the capital project/ programme and asset management space.

• Advanced understanding of technologies in the context of a Cost management system configuration.

• Perform routine analysis and control activities.

• Support the implementation of cost monitoring and control standards, techniques, systems, and reports.

• Assist with baseline allocation and reporting/cost control for specific construction discipline or group of disciplines. 

• Evidence the alignment of cost to the scheduled activities

• Coordinate the development and accuracy of cost reports.

• Verify consistency with previous reports to ensure compatibility and consistency. 

• Prepare cost studies using historical data, statistical analysis, and cost and quantity comparisons. 

Here's What You'll Need 

• Degree or equivalent qualification in business analysis, accounting, finance, construction, engineering or project management, or related technical field.

• Understanding of cost and change engineering principles and practices.

• Experience with project cost control and reporting.

• Proficiency in relevant software tools and systems, including Ecosys.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

• Excellent attention to detail and a focus on accuracy.

• Knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and startup work processes. 

• Ability to interact effectively with colleagues in many different disciplines.
