Your Impact:

We train like we fight! If you want to be part of a dynamic Team supporting engaging and hands-on training solutions, this is the place for you! We are currently seeking a CNOQC Course Facilitator in Hanover, MD to provide front-line instructional support for a web-based training course. The Course Facilitator will be part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team delivering highly sophisticated, technical, hands-on training solutions to meet the mission and time-critical needs of our customers.

Responsibilities:

CNOQC is an unclassified, self-paced, online course that trains individuals on skills and methodologies associated with an offensive or defensive cyber operator work role. Course Facilitators work collaboratively to support students completing this foundational technical course. Course Facilitators provide relevant experience and evaluate students on the knowledge required to meet the standards for the course. Facilitators monitor student performance and provide student feedback on practical exams. Virtualization technology is employed heavily to simulate real-world scenarios that create an immersive learning environment for students and Facilitators.

The course covers four topic areas: Windows, UNIX, Networking, and Security Concepts. The course is not instructor-led, rather it uses Facilitators to guide students through the content while encouraging students to be active self-learners throughout the course. The Facilitators are SMEs in at least one of the four topic areas, and throughout the core training hours of each day they will interact with students via a chat system. Typical chat interactions include providing guidance during exercises and helping students understand difficult topics they encounter in the content. Facilitators also conduct periodic voice feedback sessions covering student exam attempts, during which they walk through the exam attempt with the student and address the areas that need improvement.

  • Facilitators are available to assist students with questions regarding content, virtual machines (VM), course resources, exercises, and exams; provide feedback in one-on-one sessions with students; and assist with other content-related topics.
  • Facilitators actively monitor student progress and watch for any students who may be struggling or need additional assistance. They communicate and document observations to other members of the Facilitator team, the student, mentors, and/or Customer.
  • Facilitators monitor students as they conduct the hands-on practical portions of exams in preparation to conduct one-on-one feedback sessions with the student to discuss areas of strength as well as to help remediate areas where the student is continuing to develop proficiency.
  • Facilitators interact with students via text and voice chat. Facilitators work with the student to determine the need and provide the best type of support/assistance based on customer guidance and the needs of the student (for example, explain and demonstrate technical concepts, assistance with finding resources, etc.).
  • Facilitators provide news and updates to students as needed via course tools.
  • Facilitators work with a multidisciplinary Team of professionals by providing SME support in reviewing course content, exams, training materials, and documentation.
