Duties include:

• Active role in deconstructing electronic components
• Translate hands on experience to find technological solutions to improve processes and procedures
• Support development by designing fixtures, software, and/or non-traditional techniques
• Make technical decisions based on skills and training in the use of test equipment and associated systems
• Notify and discuss technical problems with engineering personnel, contractors, or other government representatives as necessary

Minimum Requirements:

• 2 year degree in Electronics Technology
• Vocational/technical training beyond high school in electronics technology / engineering
• Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
• Hands-on experience with handling and testing small parts, such as microelectronics
• Knowledge of electronic components and device operating characteristic
• Understanding and utilization of laboratory safety practices, including chemical safety
• Applied knowledge of geometry and algebra for physical applications
• Strong written communication skills, organizational skills, and the ability to perform detail-oriented work are required.
• Ability to engage on a multidisciplinary team of technicians, scientists, and engineers
• Ability to identify and support opportunities for process improvements through fixture design and integrating new techniques
• Ability to pass and maintain a DoD Security Clearance (Note: US Citizenship is required to obtain a clearance)

Preferred Qualifications:

• 4 year degree in Electronics Engineering Technology
• Active Secret Clearance
• Experience in laboratory environments, including operation of microscopes and other analytical equipment 
• Basic knowledge of microelectronic construction and materials 
• Basic knowledge of techniques for failure or material analysis of microelectronics
• Working knowledge of micro controller programming
