We are now looking for an experienced Senior Programme Manager to join the team and support a number of our clients delivering complex programmes and portfolio of projects.

Amentum provides end to end programme and project services, notably design, manufacturing, construction, and decommissioning within Nuclear and Highly Regulated sectors.

The Senior Programme Manager is a leadership role that will require an individual with a broad skill set that is prepared to adapt their leadership style and delivery approaches to suit the environment and their client. The size of their team and focus on specifics around the role will vary based on the client requirements, ranging from consultancy type business management through to being responsible for transformational change in a highly complex delivery environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead customer interfaces, build teams, relationships, and stakeholder confidence.
  • As necessary take responsibility for performance, profit and loss, and commercial arrangements
  • Establish and oversee complex programmes supporting clients in the nuclear industry.
  • Develop governance structures integrating with existing frameworks, optimising decision making across the programme and integrated projects.
  • Effective application of best practice in managing complex programme in a bespoke environment.
  • Understands execution of projects and Project Execution Planning.
  • Development of programme blueprints, tranche structures, mapping and measures for realisation of benefits.
  • As necessary lead and set up a Programme Management Offices, programme reporting, baseline development and integration of project reports.
  • Manage programme risks and opportunities.
  • Production of Green Book five case business cases.

Requirements:

  • Ideally Degree Qualified or HND in engineering discipline
  • Project Management Qualification i.e. Prince2, APMP or equivalent
  • Previous experience in the Programme Management of Nuclear projects
  • Proven experience in overseeing complex projects and programmes
  • Commercial awareness with focus on delivery and value for money
  • Proven excellent analytical and organisational skills
  • Flexibility and ability to adapt to a changing work environment Previous experience of managing high value programmes
  • Knowledge of nuclear / highly regulated site activities

You will be eligible for UK SC security clearance.
