This position embeds TPS philosophy into decision-making and operational processes to enhance support for U.S. and allied land forces, improve performance metrics, and drive sustainable cultural change. Establish and maintain Transition Plan of Command (TPOC) Mission control, Value Stream steering Teams, with true north metrics to see improvement trends with counter measures when not trending metric in positive direction.

Will work closely and collaboratively with teams at all levels—on the shop floor, in conference rooms, and wherever work is performed—to establish the current state and gather key data points that reflect existing processes. By utilizing the appropriate improvement tools, the Applicant will provide on-site training to team members, guiding them in identifying and eliminating waste across all targeted processes. This hands-on approach ensures that improvements are practical, sustainable, and fully integrated into daily operations. The goal is to teach all Red River teams how to identify and eliminate waste and be a problem solver in the work areas they are assigned to and work in. The Applicant will teach Lean techniques within product design, development, supply chain, manufacturing, and production operations.  With goals of improving the flow of materials, equipment, information, revenue, and people. Applicant will show the ability to deliver outstanding results in multiple industries

Minimum Requirements:

  • Extensive experience in leading and delivering successful large-scale transformations across diverse industries.

  • As a Toyota Production System (TPS) trainer and coach, possess high-level expertise in teaching, coaching, communicating and applying the appropriate lean tools to effectively address a wide range of organizational challenges. The Applicant will be responsible for equipping leaders at all levels with the knowledge and skills to implement these tools and will demonstrate measurable results upon the completion of each project, task, special initiative, or event.

  • Seasoned experience in coaching numerous senior executives, dozens of Lean practitioners, and oversaw the formal certification of Black Belts, Green Belts, and facilitators.

  • Experience in teaching, training and facilitating well over 100 process improvement events and projects.

  • Demonstrated experience in establishing a comprehensive Lean manufacturing system that drives continuous process improvement and provides clear indicators—both upstream and downstream—of the organization's Lean maturity and performance. This system will enable visibility of Lean activities across all levels of the organization through trend analysis, status updates, and performance metrics. Where metrics indicate underperformance, a structured countermeasure process will be implemented to develop actionable plans that correct issues and sustain improvements over time.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization. Note: US Citizenship is required for facility credentials/authorization at this work location.

  • Document new or updated processes aligned with TPS

  • Define and deliver metrics to track TPS adoption and sustainment

  • Lead Transition Plan of Command (TPOC) (in person)

  • Value Stream Steering Teams (VSST) (in person)

  • Value Stream Analysist (VSA) (in person)

  • Rapid Improvement Events (RIE) (in person)

  • Weekly Event out briefs (in person)

  • Recommend post-engagement action plans

  • Deliverable 1: Rapid Improvement Site Plans

  • Provide direct training and instruction to all supervisors, and leaders

  • Create, supply, and deliver all training slides and material in electronic forum for all on the job trainings.

  • Deliver formal classroom sessions tailored to all levels example: (Learn Leaders Training) Create, supply, and deliver all training slides and material in electronic forum for all TPS trainings.

  • Training Materials to cover TPS philosophy, principles, tools, and transition benefits

  • Present tailored Close-Out Briefings summarizing assessment findings, training outcomes, and recommendations.

  • Training shall cover TPS philosophy, principles, tools, and transition benefits. Sessions will include simulations, hands-on activities, and discussion. And on the job Red River Operation System training.

  • Conduct on-site Lean Sensei training with senior leadership for up to one week/month

  • Create, supply, and deliver all training slides and material in electronic forums for all trainings.

  • Assist facilitation of benchmark trips to visitors to share what right looks like. Share key tools and Red River Operation system that align the true north goals and results.

  • All site tasks are complete upon Government acceptance of the End of Engagement Report

  • Environmental, health, and safety compliance

  • Management of government property and materials

  • Records retention, HAZMAT, verification and validation practices
