Amentum is seeking a dynamic, mission-driven Program Growth Coordinator to lead growth initiatives in support of the U.S. Indo-Pacific Command (USINDOPACOM), its component commands, sub-unified commands and standing joint task force(s).  The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in government contracting, market intelligence, and strategic growth, with a proven ability to align customer priorities with innovative, scalable solutions.  This role plays a key part in Amentum’s long-term Indo-Pacific growth strategy, working in close partnership with operations, capture, and proposal teams.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Opportunity Identification & Pipeline Development - Identify, qualify, and track new business opportunities across USINDOPACOM, its component commands, and key federal partners operating in the Indo-Pacific region.
  • Customer Engagement - Develop and maintain trusted relationships with government stakeholders, including program managers, contracting officers, CORs, and senior military leaders to shape upcoming opportunities and stay aligned with command priorities.
  • Capture Strategy & Execution - Support and/or lead capture efforts for targeted opportunities, including teaming decisions, pricing strategies, and win themes aligned with Amentum’s strengths and customer needs.
  • Market Intelligence - Conduct continuous market assessment to monitor competitive activity, acquisition trends, upcoming RFPs/RFIs, and changes to Indo-Pacific mission priorities.
  • Proposal Support - Collaborate with proposal and solutioning teams to ensure responsive, compelling, and compliant bids; provide input into technical and management volumes as needed.
  • Contracting Insight - Leverage knowledge of acquisition strategies (IDIQs, GWACs, OTAs, Task Orders) to recommend tailored pursuit approaches. Provide strategic guidance on GSA/AAS schedules and MAC vehicles relevant to USINDOPACOM.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration - Partner closely with Operations, Program Managers, Contracts, Finance, HR, and Recruiting to align growth efforts with Amentum’s delivery capabilities and workforce footprint.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, International Relations, Government, or related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in business development, government contracting, or program management—preferably in the defense sector
  • Familiarity with USINDOPACOM and Indo-Pacific mission priorities
  • Strong understanding of FAR/DFARS, government acquisition strategy, and contracting mechanisms
  • Demonstrated success in pipeline management, opportunity shaping, and capture
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Must have an active Secret security clearance. Note:  US Citizenship is required to obtain a Secret Clearance.
  • CONUS and OCONUS travel may be required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Business, International Relations, Government, or related field
  • 5-10 years of experience in business development, government contracting, or program management—preferably in the defense sector
  • Experience supporting USINDOPACOM, PACFLT, MARFORPAC, PACAF, USARPAC and/or SOCPAC
  • Working knowledge of GSA AAS (e.g. Alliant, OASIS+, ASTRO), and MAC vehicles
  • Have an active Top-Secret security clearance and be SCI eligible

The salary range for this position is $135K to $165K. (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
