Help establish and administer new technology projects to help protect America’s homeland! Amentum is actively seeking an intermediate program management support specialist to support a portfolio of research, development, test and evaluation (RDT&E) projects for the Department of Homeland Security Science and Technology Directorate (DHS S&T).  The successful candidate will be agile, organized, and possess exceptional attention to detail to help the program management team drive project execution in collaboration with DHS HQ and component staffs, vendors, and other subject matter experts and supporting contract organizations.

The position is telework but must reside within the vicinity of Washington, DC to support periodic local efforts.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Interact and support customers through the application of specific program knowledge in the execution of program management tasks.
  • Help review documents, prepare standard cover sheets, and submit technical and non-technical program reports.  
  • Maintain master files related to program property.  
  • Execute local property management functions, to include on-site inventory management tracking at customer sites and assisting with return of Government provided equipment to DHS headquarters.  
  • Support and execute project shipping requirements.  
  • Analyze and track project subcontractor deliverables.  
  • Support program personnel on-boarding and off-boarding.
  • Create and maintain master files related to program history, execution and status.  
  • Analyze and process program invoices.  
  • Interface with internal and external principal program participants for planning, prioritization and resolution of overall activities to support customer goals.

Minimum Requirements:

  • U.S. citizenship
  • Must be able to pass DHS entry of duty (EOD) requirements and maintain Public Trust suitability status
  • Reside in vicinity of the National Capital Region
  • 5-8 years of relevant experience with a High School Diploma or equivalent, 0-3 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree
  • Demonstrated high-level tact and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Proficiency with word-processing, spreadsheets, and integrated software applications
  • Non-local travel may be required

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active Public Trust designation
  • Active Secret security clearance
  • Experience working within DHS structure and mission areas during the last five years
