Amentum is seeking a highly motivated mid-level Project Controls Analyst with Primavera P6 and Cost Processing (PRISM G2, COBRA, etc.) experience to work in our Denver, CO or Richland, WA office (hybrid role, in office three days/week).  In addition to general experience in cost analysis and Primavera P6 scheduling/planning, candidates must have experience in earned value management, specifically ANSI/EIA-748 guidelines and DCMA 14-point assessment, with demonstrated proficiency of baseline management and change control.  This position is primarily in support of government projects with Design and Engineering scope, but this role would also support other smaller projects as required.  Candidate must be a “self-starter” and be able to work independently with minimal direction.  Candidate must be able to work in an agile manner as they would be assigned to multiple projects at one time.  This position may require coordination and input from multiple offices across the continental US (and possibly internationally) into one integrated Project Controls System.  Candidates must be US Citizens without Dual Citizenship.  Limited travel should be anticipated.

Position Description or Typical Responsibilities:

  • Maintains configuration control of an integrated Performance Measurement Baseline (PMB) in PRISM G2 and Primavera (P6)

  • Maintains Primavera P6 Forecast and Baseline Schedules across multiple projects

  • Provides detailed analysis of cost and schedule data to identify key project issues

  • Supports the development of estimates for proposals and baseline change control

  • Assists Project Management in Contract Management and scope control, and demonstrates strong change management principles

  • Assists Project Management in Subcontract Management and scope control

  • Maintains Funds Management process with detailed analysis and estimates of exhaustion based on performance data

  • Knowledgeable in the forecasting of schedules, Estimates to Complete (ETC) and Estimates at Completion (EACs)

  • Assist Control Account Managers (CAM) and Project Managers in writing IPMR Format 5 Variance Analysis Reports (VARs) and other client required Reports

  • Assist in the tracking and monitoring of Engineering or other deliverables

  • Assists Project Management in development and maintenance of Risk Management

  • Assists in the development and maintenance of the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS) and the Cost Breakdown Structure (CBS) to ensure that standard project coding is effectively used for all cornerstone applications

  • Supports the development, implementation, and communication of Project Charge Codes, including use of our Standard Code of Accounts

  • Establishes and maintains project and client relationships

  • Assists in quantifiable earned value and physical percent completes

  • Performs system data traces to reconcile Project Controls System, including cost & schedule integration

  • Ensure integrity and quality of project controls data and compliance with processes, procedures and Amentum Project Controls Standards

  • May support Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) requirements in accordance to EIA-748 Earned Value Management Systems

  • Assists Project Management in the development of the Monthly Report and internal KPI Dashboards

  • Must be assertive with effective written and verbal communication skills, at the detail through the summary level and across all levels of the organization and to the clients

  • Must show strong initiative, willingness to learn and ability to multi-task

  • Must have the ability to prioritize work and meet project deadlines

  • Must be very strong in data analysis; quality assurance checks, validations and reconciliations

  • Must be able to step back from the details and understand project level impacts/implications (big picture)

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction, finance, business or related field, or demonstrated equivalent and/or related field experience

  • 8+ years of demonstrated experience supporting Engineering, Procurement and Construction projects in a Project Controls or Financial Accounting role

  • Detailed and demonstrated experience in planning & scheduling, cost analysis, progress measurement, earned value, variance analysis, baseline management & change control fundamentals

  • Experience with Earned Value Management System (EVMS), per EIA-748

  • Experience in Primavera P6 software, forecast and baseline schedule development and maintenance

  • Cost analysis and reporting

  • Attention to details, reconciliations of data and quality assurance validations

  • Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Excel

  • Team Player with strong work ethics

  • Due to the nature of work, candidate must be a US Citizen without dual citizenship

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of Federal Government experience with cost analysis and Primavera Experience

  • Experience in ARES (Contruent) PRISM G2 Cost Processing Software

  • Expert knowledge in Primavera (P6) software

COMPENSATION

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $100K - $140K (Annually) (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
