These services include design, construction, updates, and maintenance of new and existing datacenter facilities.

Position Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and technically skilled Project Engineer to lead and support Building Management Systems (BMS) and Controls Engineering projects within mission-critical data center environments. This role involves overseeing the design, installation, commissioning, and integration of BMS and control systems to ensure optimal performance, energy efficiency, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Engineering & Execution

o Participate in the technical execution of BMS and controls projects from design through commissioning.

o Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure timely and quality delivery.

o Review and interpret engineering drawings, control schematics, and specifications.

• System Design & Integration

o Develop and review control system architecture, I/O lists, and network topologies.

o Specify and configure controllers, sensors, actuators, and communication protocols (e.g., BACnet, Modbus, LonWorks ).

o Integrate BMS with other systems such as HVAC, fire alarm, security, and power monitoring.

• Installation & Commissioning

o Support field installation, wiring, and panel fabrication.

o Perform system testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning activities.

o Ensure compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and safety regulations.

• Documentation & Reporting

o Prepare technical documentation including submittals, RFIs, redlines, and as-built drawings.

o Maintain project schedules, progress reports, and issue logs.

o Support handover and training for operations and maintenance teams.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering , Mechanical Engineering, Controls Engineering, or related field.


  • 3+ years of experience in BMS/controls engineering, preferably in data center or mission-critical environments.


  • Strong knowledge of BMS platforms (e.g., Schneider Electric, Siemens, Honeywell, Johnson Controls).


  • Familiarity with control logic programming, SCADA systems, and HMI development.


  • Understanding of data center infrastructure, including HVAC, electrical systems, and redundancy requirements.


  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, or similar design tools.


  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.


Essential Functions: Intermittent sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing, kneeling, twisting, and lifting to 20 pounds. Hand manipulation is required for grasping, pushing and pulling, and fine manipulation. Right and/or left hands utilized. Need to reach and/or work above the shoulder, as well as below the shoulder for same. Must be alert to equipment in the field, there will be travel, will work near construction job site equipment when in the field, occasional need to work near hazardous equipment and machinery, occasional need to walk on uneven ground, exposure to dust, gas or fumes, exposure to noise, extremes in temperature or humidity, and work at heights.
