Our NORAD Operations Group

Selected by the Air Force Life Cycle Management Center’s Strategic Warning and Surveillance Systems Division for Operations, Maintenance, and Sustainment (OM&S) of critical mission systems for the North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) Cheyenne Mountain Complex (NCMC), we support the Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment (ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract II (NISSC II).

Since 2020, through the (ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract II (NISSC II), has provided:

Operations, maintenance, and Sustainment of current and legacy systems for the surveillance and cataloging of manmade objects in space.

Mitigation of orbital conflicts.

Threat warnings and control from airborne, land-based, and space-based systems for threat activities.

Operations and maintenance of classified communications.

Software development and integration.

NISSC II supports the classified communications and processing for Command and Control (C2) capability and legacy space C2 systems located at:

Cheyenne Mountain Space Force Station (CMSFS), Colorado

Peterson Space Force Base (PSFB), Colorado

Offutt Air Force Base, Nebraska

Vandenberg Space Force Base, California

Numerous sensor and forward operator sites around the world

Description of Duties:

The Project Manager supports North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) on the Integrated Tactical Warning/Attack Assessment (ITW/AA) and Space Support Contract II (NISSC II). The candidate will:

• Support corporate and customer missions to provide world-class IT services

• Provide support that connects systems and users across NORAD in the areas of software development/maintenance, network services, cyber security, systems administration, and other mission-critical areas.

• Be responsible for leading and managing various projects on the program and ensuring the company and customer priorities are met.

o This will require expertise in all disciplines of project management.

• Interface with all levels of the department, division and government management, and personnel and maintain the skills to cultivate relationships for optimal contract technical and financial performance.

• Manage & Implement key initiatives prioritized by the General Manager.

o The initiatives will involve strategic projects and Business Development.

The ideal candidate must also have the following attributes:

• Ability to work independently and lead teams to deliver solutions.

• Ability to analytically solve problems to accomplish objectives.

• Provide direct communication of unique/innovative practices between the company and the client.

• Acts independently to recommend changes in the technical approach or emphasis of projects, and completes progress and/or conceives plans, and develops new technical methods or approaches as warranted by advancements in the state of-the-art technology.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Significant relevant experience in supporting the sustainment of NISSC II mission systems/subsystems.

• Possess understanding of application infrastructure, system architecture, and operating systems.

This position will be filled and work onsite in Colorado Springs, CO

Basic Requirements:

• Must have a Bachelors, or higher, degree

• Must have 8, or more, years of Project or Program Manager experience

• Must have 9, or more, years of full time (general) work experience

• Must have a PMP Level I certification

• Must have an active DoD Secret Security Clearance

Desired Requirements:

• Have a PMP Level II certification

• Have prior experience in the Space Force and familiarization with the ITW/AA mission

This position is expected to pay $150,000 - $172,000 annually; depending on experience, education, and any certifications that are directly related to the position.

This position will be posted for a minimum of 3 days. If a candidate has not been selected at that time, it will continue to be posted until a suitable candidate is selected or the position is closed.
